Excellent selection of bits, all neatly arranged. Really useful for any DIY repairs you might need and weird screws some manufacturers insist on. Used mine along with a cheap soldering iron to replace the batteries on my SNES games and to open up and clean out the console.

The ifxit kits are of good quality - better than the no name screwdriver kits you get for cheap. They do cost more, but quality does cost more. Using these cause less stripped screws as they fit the screws tighters. This kit is very comprehensive.

I liked about this item cuz of certain tool or bit of a tool that you need you buy the rights packets they have the part that you need for the nail size and all that in it so all you got to do is change the part or the big size for that job so is the easy use to tools

Excellent selection of bits for household use, combined with a premium feeling screwdriver handle, cover tray that attaches magnetically (note the tray itself does NOT magnetically hold screws, it’s just normal plastic with ridges), and upward facing bit storage makes this iFixIt Mako set the best choice for a precision screwdriver set. I replaced my old, worn, chipped precision screwdrivers with this set, and I am in love with the Mako’s superior ergonomics, particularly the screwdriver itself. I do think it’s a little expensive at $39.95, but for S2 steel bits, the enhanced assortment of bits (though not as much as iFixIt’s other set with more bits), and solid construction quality, there really isn’t a better choice. I was considering a competitor product from a popular YouTube-based, tech-focused company, but the reviews for the iFixIt Mako highlighted better fitment at a lower price. I’d recommend the iFixIt Mako. Buy once, cry once (because of the higher price compared to cheaper options).

I purchased this to have a standardized tool box to reach for when building computers rather than an amalgamation of tools collected throughout the years. I’m extremely satisfied with this product as there was more than enough to get the job done and it helped speed up the installation process as well. I also avoid ruining screws as I have a plethora of options to choose from.

It literally has every single bit to every single fastner type I'm so glad I got this and plan on getting more IFIXIT stuff from Walmart!

My tech friend Jacob who is a electrical engineer recommended this set and I couldn’t be happier with it. It has all of the common bits and is made well. I’ve already used it a few times and imho it has paid for itself already. The tools are well organized in the included storage container which the lid can be used to hold small pieces and parts while you work. A nice feature. The extension is a fantastic addition and makes working in and around tight spaces a breeze. My only gripe is it is hard to read the sizes marked on the foam that holds the bits. Not a dealbreaker in any way. Just wish they were marked in say white so you can read the sizes easier. Again not a big deal. With this set and the many instructional videos ifixit has online, you can save yourself a pile of cash if you are handy and can follow a video. It also has the bits required to service most edc knives. Great for adjusting the pivot fastener for example.

everything ifixit makes ks perfect. very high quality bits and drivers. i have 2 kits at home, a compact electric kit and a larger ifixit kit, and a large ifixit kit, compact electric, and compact manual kit at work. i use them for everything i ever need ro take apart with small screws. been using them for years and I've never destroyed a bit or driver from ifixit. the same cant be said about cheap kits off amazon. soft steel and low quality handles. ifixit uses high quality materials.

This kit has the tools I needed to clean the inside of my Xbox controllers. I haven't used them enough to rate them on durability. I have seen some people say that the tools strip easily, but I haven't experienced that myself. I think that as long as you are careful, don't try to rush the repair and don't force the tools too hard, they should be fine. Of course, only time will tell. As of today, December 23, 2025, I have had them for only a week and just used them twice.
