Hi there - We are so sorry that your toaster is not toasting the bread evenly. This would be quite discouraging and we can understand your disappointment. To ensure evenness throughout the toasting process, make sure that the toaster is sitting on a flat, even surface. If the toaster fails due to defect in materials or workmanship, perhaps you'd rather take advantage of your warranty and make a claim. You can call 1.800.GE.CARES (1-800-432-2737) to begin that process.
