I bought this toaster hoping it would make nice toast and look good. Problem is, it doesn't work, and it is too big for a 2-slice toaster. Sometimes it burns toast, and sometimes it leaves the bread underdone.. all at the same brownness setting. So each time I use the toaster, it is a sort of adventure. You never know what you will get.

Bought this to replace a similar Cuisinart whose cord was defective. Came recommended by retailer, and I have other GE/Haier appliances that have performed well. Toaster seems well made a produces nice uniform browning. Slots are wide too for bagels and thicker sliced breads.

This toaster has a couple of settings which can be interchanged if needed. The frozen feature is a plus, as most of my bread is kept frozen. It took a bit to find the "browning sweet spot" but once it's set all is good. However the brown indication varies among the density of breads and therefore may appear darker or lighter for the selection that is set. Montior for a couple of times to ensure the toast is to the darkest of choice..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this toaster to match our other kitchen appliances. It’s not the worst toaster, but it definitely toasts unevenly. We have to stop mid toast to flip the bread around. Then the outside of the bread looks a lot darker than the bread is actually toasted. Also, the slots are kind of small. A normal piece of multigrain bread barely fits length wise.

So far so good, we have used several times & have no complaints. We like the fact that the light comes on to denote "frozen" our other toaster did not so you didn't know if it was working😲 crunb tray works well too, captures the crumbs so you are not cleaning counter top constantly.

The toaster has worked fine, though I've only had it for less than a week. I especially like the frozen button, since I freeze my bread to make it last longer. When I first tried it I was shocked at the awful smell emanating from the interior of the toaster. I consulted the manual, which said the toaster had to "cure the new elements" and that "this may produce a slight odor as the element cures." In my case I had to open windows and run the toaster several times (without toast), to eliminate the strong and toxic smell! Since then I've had no problems.

Wow is all I can say. We looked up a bunch of toasters after the toaster we had 17 years finally died. This GE is the truth! From hearing evenly on both sides to having room to fit split bagels in it, we love it. The buttons are a plus too. You won’t be mislead or disappointed buying this.

It has 3 buttons on the front, 2 are presets for bagels and frozen items and then a cancel button. There is also a knob with 7 shade adjustments to adjust the amount of toasting you want. There is wrap around cord storage on the bottom of the toaster and an easy to slide out tray at the bag to empty crumbs.

Been needing to get a new toaster for some time but since Covid have run into issues with major appliances, specifically freezers and I was seeing ALOT of bad reviews about small appliances so was leary of getting a bad one. Was buying a deep fryer and decided to go ahead and get the needed toaster as well. This GE toaster had the best reviews over all brands so took a chance. We have only used it for a couple of days, but so far it is doing great. I just hope it holds up as long as the last Toastmaster did, 10+ yrs!

Which on my counter is a big deal, not a ton of space. I like that it has a Bagel setting separate and I love that it has a FROZEN setting. This feature is cool, I can freeze, pull it out of the freezer and I am on my way! Great value!
