To ensure evenness throughout the toasting process, make sure that the toaster is sitting on a flat, even surface. If the toaster fails due to defect in materials or workmanship, perhaps you'd rather take advantage of your warranty and make a claim. For the best assistance towards this we recommend trying a quick electronic reset. This can be done by removing the power cord for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
