I bought the generator as a back-up for essentials when the power might go out to the house. The generator arrived on schedule and was a cinch to get ready to operate. I tested it using gas and propane with excellent results. I wasn't able to try it using natural gas but have not doubts it'll function as advertised. It's now ready for when the time is right...

I upgraded from my 1998 Generac 5 kW portable generator to the Westinghouse 9500 W tri fuel portable generator. WOW!! Felt like I was coming out of the dark ages to modern times. Try pull starting a 10 HP engine with 30 weight oil in it, good luck when below freezing temperatures. The electric start on the Westinghouse performed flawlessly, the engine came to life almost immediately after I hooked up the propane tank with the supplied hose. I then proceeded to connect the generator to my manual transfer switch and performed a whole house test as if the utility power was out, the Westinghouse portable generator performed flawlessly. I now have the peace of mind when our utility power might be interrupted by Mother Nature when we are not expecting it. We are very happy selecting the Westinghouse 9500 Watt Tri Fuel portable generator.

Researched online for quite a while and decided to pull the trigger. Got this WGen9500TFc so that I can take advantage of the natural gas line already in the backyard. After connecting the hose, and charging the battery, it only took 3 tries and the engine was running! Pretty smooth to me as I know it NG takes time to flow through the hose. Will follow the instructions to prepare for the storage and hopefully it will prepare us well for the next power outage.

My husband found this deal he said we could not refuse. Living in Texas, we get weird, unpredictable storms that can have our power out almost 24 hours. It's nice to know if we needed to plug in our refrigerator or need to run an electric heater, we got this. Plus, if we go camping/Glamping, we have the power to turn on a fan if it's hot or have lights and power to charge up our phones or tablets. The only little complaint is that the motor is a bit loud....so have it some distance away.

Initial fire up of generator, frequency is 62.9. I called support and they requested I put a load on it. With 2 heat elements at maybe 2.5amps, it dropped to 61.7 Hz. I was told this was all good and normal. Fast forward to today, with my first trial run after all electrical was finished to feed my home. I started with my garage which has a 240v pool pump and air compressor. The pool pump and all 120 devices ran just fine. When the air compressor came on, lights began flickering badly and the generator shut off. This was done again when I had someone able to turn the air compressor on while I was at the generator to observe the operations. I observed the frequency was dropping to 55-56 Hz and voltage was also dropping. This is happening due to the idle circuitry of the generator failing is my thought. I called support and was advised to contact my seller to return the unit for being defective. If I’m not able to return it, I can take it somewhere of pay to have someone come to my home. This is very poor support for a brand new product.

This generator is awesome. It was perfect for us after our hurricane left us with our power for a week. We didn’t have to get gas because we were able to hook it up to our gas line to the house. It powered our giant fridge, an ac unit, some lights and power outlets. It got us through the week. Big big help.

We bought this Tri-Fuel Generator for the current hurricane season. Last year we were without electricity for 2 weeks! Getting out and buying gas for it was a huge problem! So we purchased the Tri-Fuel and hooked it up to Natural Gas! It runs perfect and we are happy to not have to get gas should the occasion arise.

I bought this after Memphis had storms and alot of power outages. I opened the box, and set it up with ease. Attached a propane bottle and hit the power button, 2 seconds later it was running. Now to get it added to my electrical box and natural gas and I will be set for all the coming issue Memphis might have. I sleep with a CPAP so no more rough nights. Looking forward to our next outage. Now I can buy a welder and teach myself some new skills.

I wanted a solution to combat intermittent power issues resulting from weather-related and infrastructure age-related outages that was less expensive than the whole home options and also provided flexibility for use in other situations where portable power was needed lime remote use of a travel trailer. After six months of ownership, I am very pleased with the product.

Purchased this unit after Hurricane Beryl. Needed tri-fuel to run on natgas. It seems this is strong enough to run our entire house except for our 4 ton HVAC. May have a soft start installed to see if this generator could handle it. Unit arrived in perfect condition, fast shipping.
