This stuff is a lifesaver for tackling those stubborn greasy messes that always seem to build up on my pots and pans. Honestly, it's a little pricey, but totally worth it for the convenience. I've even started using it on my stovetop, and it works great. The only downside is that it can be a bit drying on my hands, so I make sure to use gloves. If you're looking for a powerful dish soap that can cut through grease and grime, I highly recommend giving Dawn Powerwash Heavy Duty a try. You won't be disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave this four stars primarily because the Dawn Powerwash Heavy Duty Fresh did not work quite as effectively on dishes as all the commercials portray. I would have loved to include a video with my review but could never get one that adequately captured how well the Powerwash Heavy Duty works. No matter how many different ways I attempted to get it to work on dirty dishes, I could never get a nice, clean one-motion swipe off of a plate or pan. HOWEVER, it was extremely effective at cutting grease, AND I found myself spraying it in my sink, on my countertops, my stovetop, my floor even! It’s easily the best all purpose kitchen cleaner I’ve ever used, and I’ll probably move it into my bathroom as well! Two cautionary notes, however: 1) it has an almost overpowering scent, reminiscent of oven cleaner. If you have sensory issues, try the free and clear version; and 2) use sparingly on horizontal surfaces like countertops. I find myself having to wipe down my counters over and over and over and… Well, you get the idea. I’m not entirely certain how much of a residue it leaves behind, and on countertops I’m not that concerned, but I wouldn’t use it on anything that’s difficult to rinse off. Aside from those few minor issues though, this is my new favorite household cleaning tool. Oh, I almost forgot: I pre-treated a dried-in grease stain on a sweatshirt that had inadvertently gone through the dryer and so I thought, what the heck, it’s not gonna look any worse than it does with this big ol’, grease stain. And lo and behold, it removed that dried-in grease stain and there was never any sign it had been there. I don’t believe I’ve ever had anything be that effective on grease the first time around, and all it took was one or two good sprays of the Dawn Powerwash Heavy Duty so, to reiterate, this is my new favorite cleaning product and I don’t think I’ll ever be without it. Next time, though, I’ll give the free and clear version a try since I have a daughter with severe sensory issues.

You get a lot of product in the generous sized spray bottle and it's super convenient and easy to keep by your sink. That being said, it does have a pretty strong perfume cleaner scent. Would love if they had milder scents or even an unscented one.

So let’s talk scent it just has a regular soap wash the regular dawn scent nothing special there now the effectiveness and cleaning power is always a 10 it works so good. And has great value because a few sprays and gets things clean it’ll last long. Not only does it work on dishes, pots and pans, but also clothes and refrigerator, stove etc .. anyways I had a greasy grill top as you can see a few sprays and it washed away the grease. Love this product try it yourself

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dawn Powerwash heavy duty works very well I use it to clean off my stove and sink. Even to get grease stains out of laundry. It smells lemon fresh. Love it! I definitely will probably buy it again because it works so well. It may cost a little more but it does the job!

It’s definitely effective at washing dishes, even ones with heavy, crusted-on food, however I didn’t find it to be more effective than letting a dish soak with a little regular dish soap and water before washing it. The instructions also say to ensure the dirty dish is fully coated with the powerwash, and because of that we went through the whole bottle pretty quickly. The scent was strong, clean, and pleasant but given the more expensive cost, the speed in which we went through the bottle when following the instructions and the sort of average cleaning capability, I personally don’t think I’ll be buying it again though depending on your own use, habits, and budget it might be the right product for you!
