A Step Up

I have used a regular coffee grinder for years. I was recently introduced to a Cuisinart Burr grinder and realized after one cup of coffee, I needed my own. The coffee is richer and more favorable. The automatic feature along with multiple grind options makes this grinder so much more convenient than my old grinder. The one minor con is that it is a bit noisy. But I can overlook that as it is automatic and I don't need to stand over it or monitor it. I would recommend this burr grinder to family and friends!

Automatic Burr grinder

This is the second one I've bought, i enjoy the smell of fresh ground coffee, one thing I've noticed though is no 2 machines are the same so always check the setting on the grinder to make sure of the types of grounds you want, i like this grinder, very durable

Grandpa seemed a little better but still early.

Replaced seven year old nearly identical Cuisinart which expired due to old age. Preliminary comparison reveals higher rotation speed which would indicate lower torque output of motor, grind quality is adequate but not as good as the older unit. Noise level is higher and little more distracting. Note: new unit has transparent bin lid vice brown lid on older unit, unclear why if you'll pardon the unintended pun.

Best gift for coffee lovers!

I got this for my husband as a Christmas present and he LOVES it! He likes whole beans freshly grounded so he would use a hand cranked coffee bean miller and that would be a little time consuming. He mentioned a coffee grinder that he dad had and I did some research and this one was the model above it. He also likes to drink espresso so with the different settings of how fine or coarse you like the grounds to be, it works very well for coffee lovers.

Grinder review

The grinder was as described. It will back up at the outlet so you do need to brush it clear of the grindings periodically. It is loud so keep that in mind if your partner likes to sleep in. You need to experiment with the time of the grindings to get the right amount for your preferred coffee strength.

Convenient

Purchased this burr grinder after I had already gone through four Cuisinart blade grinders (the plastic parts inside the grinding cup always fail after a year or so). So far, so good. Consistent grinding, easy to control the coarseness of the grind. Only one problem: We like to blend our beans (some flavored coffees with a generic medium roast, maybe every now and again grind some Kona or Jamaican Blue Mountain for a Sunday morning, etc.). Getting a consistent percentage of blend with this is difficult due to needing to pre-fill the hopper - you have to carefully spread different beans around inside the hopper, and it's not always consistent (flavor-wise) after grinding. Also, if there are beans in the hopper there's no convenient way to dump them out so we can do a small batch of specialty coffee (e.g. a Sunday pot of Kona). If you only use one type of coffee and don't create specialty blends, then this is a great grinder. For us, it's only good.

Not quiet and grind not uniform

This was advertised as one of the quietest burr grinders available. It is not quiet, it’s VERY noisy! It is also advertised as making a uniform grind. It’s not real uniform, I have it set for a medium grind, I get mostly medium but some is very fine grind.

Excellent Coffee Grinder!

We bought this a few weeks ago and it works very well. It takes a little practice to get the auto grinder to stop were you want it. Once you get the hang of it use just grind and put into the coffee maker. New feature that I like. No complaints just great grinding!

Grinds very well

Grinds very well. Just a bit hard to clean up since the coffee grinds we get in stores are oily so everything sticks. Thank golly for removable parts you can clean. And must invest in small brush to clean inside the machine where it cannot be soaked. Still very happy with the grinder, much better than the old grinder I had.

Ensures Better Coffee

I bought this to replace my old Braun coffee grinder, which finally bit the dust after 20 years. Because I am serious about Espresso, I decided to try a burr grinder. Pros: Attractive unit. You can easily set/adjust your grind, and the actual grinding process is automatic. Coffee tastes really good--you do get the real flavor of the bean. Cons: Somewhat expensive. Aftermath of espresso grinding is messy, with fine coffee powder everywhere--I use a small paintbrush or pastry brush to clean the openings prior to storage..
