This is a nice large slot toaster. It makes great toast with it's settings pretty true. The only issue I have with it is the push down handle, which seems to be an afterthought to an otherwise well designed appliance.

Our last one required that we tape the cord to the bottom of the upper cabinets so as to circumvent the power cord electrical short. Hey! We got 30 years out of that unit. But they aren't making fun of us anymore. Our new GE rocks! Clean. Attractive. Functional. Our first piece of toast was perfect. I set the darkness to #4 and it popped out timely and in perfect toasted condition. We are very pleased with the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Evenly toasts on both sides. A little slower than my old toaster and the shade controls are hard to read. I wish the crumb tray pulled out from the front, the slots are plenty wide. If i were designing this is would have made the numbers on the shade control easier to read with a distintive mark or raised area on dial to tell where it's pointed.

This GE 4-slice toaster is easy to use with dials for selecting 7 shades of browning and buttons to select frozen, bagel or cancel. The stainless steel unit is nice-looking, and does not take up a lot of counter space. The only disappointment is in the size of the toasting slots -- although they can accommodate thick slices, they are only 5.5" long, so the longer styles of bread must be cut shorter to fit.

After years using a toaster oven, I had to downsize to a toaster after we moved and my countertop space was limited. I searched for a long time and looked at many different products. I own GE appliances in my kitchen and my washer and dryer, a GE toaster was my first consideration… But I wanted to weigh it against other products. So very glad that I stuck with the GE brand. It has been reliable and toasts to perfection. So glad I purchased it. I will always stick with GE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product works great what I like is that when it heats up it doesn't put out a extreme amount of heat.Almost like its toasting on a infrared type of heating element.Has the capacity to hold my homemade English muffins with no problems at all .Like the controls as it has a cancel button that automatically stops the toaster .Very pretty and not cheap looking or feeling to it. If I could suggest one thing is that it would be nice if it had a timer so I could see how long it would take to toast.Not a deal breaker at all. Definitely feels durable and sturdy well worth the price I paid.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Appears to be a quality GE product, nice finish, controls very simple, performed a couple of pre burns. It works, toasts bread well, took a couple of try's to get browning setting the way I like. Tomorrow we tackle a bagel or a hamburger bun
