Great for what it's designed for. I've always hated trying to pry open those plastic clamshell packages, this tool makes it much easier

Bought this for cutting carpet into strips as I’m removing a lot of carpet in my older home while remodeling. This has worked perfectly and has no issue quickly cutting through shag carpet and does not get clogged! Battery life has also been great so far too and I have done my entire basement and still have 50% life left. I am impressed with this tool and would highly recommend!

Makes cutting up cardboard easy for recycling

I had a cheaper cardboard saw and it always got bogged up with the slightest resistance. This one works like a charm! I have arthritis in my hands and this is a lifesaver!

Great tool

This is an awesome tool. I have a different brand and when it gets stuck, it is hard to clear. The ability to reverse on this one has been great. They recommend to tilt at a 45 degree angle to cut better. It takes some practice, but if you slightly tilt toward the left on the blade side, it cuts with no issue and keeps it from getting stuck. The digital power display is excellent and the battery life has been great. The ability to switch between eco and max modes is excellent as well. Thin cardboard and blister packs on eco are no problem. Thick cardboard, blister packs (plastic), and carpet cut like butter on max. Just get used to switching between the two as max mode on something thinner can cut through too fast and may be hazardous. You have to press the unlock (safety) button and the start button at the time, then release and quickly press the mode button to switch, then press the start button to cut. Same thing to reverse if needed. The only thing I do not like is you have to do this quickly to be able to start cutting right after changing as it cuts off a little too quickly. The setting will be saved but you have to press the unlock and start buttons again to start cutting. It's not that big of a deal though. When cutting cardboard, you have to watch corners or flaps as it will get stuck. But reverse will get you out of it. This has been a time saver for boxes and a back saver for removing all of my carpet. It has definitely paid for itself.

I am left handed and it is a struggle to start it and use it. I just Leave all the boxes to my husband, it apparently works great for right handed people.
