My husband absolutely loves these hiking socks. While he doesn't do a ton of hiking, he does a ton of yard work! These feel very thick and padded and are made very well. They don't slide around in your shoes or roll down. They're just all around good sock from a brand we all know and trust!

The fact that Eddie Bauer is in the name ought to tell you these socks are a quality item. Very soft, not too thick, not too thin. Very comfortable and sizing is consistent. I have not yet washed them, but expect them to do just fine. I would order these again.

I will definitely buy more Eddie Bauer socks. The socks are extremely comfortable. I wear tactical steel-toed boots everyday. I've worn the socks every day for two weeks straight and washed in between. The socks are durable in the washer. They're comfortable on my feet. I'm terrible with socks; sometimes I buy socks and rub hLoles in them the first day, but not these. The only downside is they cannot withstand a 130lb. Great Dane. She decided she wanted to try to eat them and the sock lost and went to sock heaven, but other than that, I would highly recommend these socks.

I received a sample of the Eddie Bauer Men's Trail Socks in a size that will fit a men's shoe size 6-12. My husband is a size 9.5 in men's and the socks fit perfectly. The socks are soft and have a thick cushion at the bottom of the foot. He is on his feet all day and the socks made an improvement in wearing his work boots all day. These socks are on the thicker side. The fit nicely. They stay up on your leg, and are on the higher side. They are comfortable with extra cushion on the underneath, top a bit thinner. They have a good stretch so you can get them on, but not too lose. They form well to your feet and legs. Feet do sweat in them, by end of a long day they are soaked.

These socks are made of synthetic fibers, no cotton whatsoever. They are soft, wash in cold water, and appear to be durable. I can't wear synthetic fibers personally.
