Beautiful, safe bassinet for your baby!

This is my second time buying this bassinet. I purchased in 2022 for my son, gave to a friend after using, only to get pregnant again in 2024. Thus, I bought a new one. First off, the bassinet is beautiful. It is adjustable, capable of rocking and has an extra large storage area underneath. The mesh is very breathable and lightweight. I had some issues with my recent purchase but Maxi Cosi was quick to rectify them. I have the swing, the rocker and the playpen as well. I will stick with Maxi Cosi products.

Simple and Perfect Assembly

We were so excited to receive this as a gift! The design is beautiful. The storage option on the bottom is a game changer perfect for the diapers and wipes. The adjustable height is so nice when having our baby right next to our own bed. We love the storage bag that it comes with it makes it so much easier when spending overnight trips elsewhere. The padding is very nice and cushy fits perfectly!

Highly recommend for style and function!

Maxi Cosi Bassinet Not only do I love the look of this bassinet, I love how customizable and functional it is. The first time we used it we were headed out of town and brought it with us. It's super compact and easy to bring along on our travels. Our baby slept so good in it and I slept better knowing she was in a safe and comfortable bassinet. It's super easy to setup in just a few steps, and I can customize the height and slide it right next to any bed. The storage basket underneath is awesome too for easy access to the essentials. Now back home she sleeps in it every night and I absolutely love the mesh sides that I can easily get a quick peek on her in the middle of the night. I've tried other bassinets and wound recommend this above all others for the style, function and comfort.

Not bad

Pros: I enjoy how it raises and lowers height. Feels sturdy. Love the carry case. Fairly light. Looks good. Cons: No wheels. Got squeaky after a few months. The mesh is pretty hard to see through so I had to physically get up to look at my baby, with a C-section that's not exactly simple. The mattress/pad is extremely thin.

Beautiful and sturdy but uncomfortable

This bassinet is beautiful, sustainable, has visible sides, and great storage underneath. Our pet peeve is that the height doesn't adjust any taller than the 4 options. We're often hunched over the side feeding our son a bottle to soothe him back to sleep, and the height plus the sides makes that uncomfortable. I thought we would use it to change diapers, but that isn't comfy either. We are 5'4 & 5'10. I can't imagine for even taller parents! Will we still use it for kid# 2? Probably. Will our backs pop and crackle even more? Most likely.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review. We’re really glad to hear you’re enjoying the look, sustainability, and storage of the bassinet — and we appreciate you pointing out the challenges with the height. We understand how uncomfortable it can be to lean over during late‑night soothing or diaper changes, especially for parents of different heights. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we’ll be sure to share it with our team as we continue improving our designs. If you ever have questions or need support as you continue using it, our Consumer Care Team is always here to help.

Good but not comfortable-no mattress pad/sheets available

I though this looked nice aesthetically, unfortunately there are no sheets that fit that I can find nor a thicker padding for the mattress. Also it is kind of deep to reach over at night, maybe because I am short. My baby does not sleep well in it at all.

No extra mattress sheet or wheels

Babies will have accidents - for this bassinet not to have an option to buy extra bassinet covers is really unthinkable. Anytime the baby has a mistake through her clothes and gets on the bassinet mattress we have to wash it immediately because there is no back up - I wouldn't recommend this for any parents living in cities. It would have been nice for some wheels on this (Maybe no wheels for safety) - as a new parent you do want your eye on the baby and it would have been nice to wheel her out to the. family room at times. Safety wise it's good.

Cute but not safe

I purchased this for our baby that was born in November. I thought it was super cute and had to buy it. When we assembled the bassinet, it was very sturdy, a little heavy, but we had no plans on moving it around our home. Not even one month after use, the bassinet was very wobbly, moved with any small movement my son made, it didn't feel safe anymore. I contacted "support" and was asked to send videos. They responded and informed me that all the movement the bassinet was making is very much "normal" but I don't recall it doing this when we started using it. They asked me to tear a hole in the bassinet in order for them to send me my money back. I informed them I didn't want my money back, just a replacement and would be happy to send back the one we currently have back. They said this couldn't be done, they could only give me a credit back. Later, they explained that the movement was the issue and couldn't do an exchange. This confused me because they first said movement was normal? Unfortunately, at the moment we do not have funds to purchase another bassinet and no other means of a safe sleeping space and my concern is safe sleep, I explained this to the representative and was clear. Given this is a baby company with "safe practices" I was concerned that they would even insist that I tear up the bassinet before I was able to get a replacement from them. They compared it to going to any store and not being able to get a refund without a product in hand. The only thing is, this isn't just any company, again, this is a BABY company that is supposed to practice baby safety. I would've hoped they would put a baby's safety first. Customer service was obviously no help. I'm now working on trying to get a safe sleeping space because MaxiCosi couldn't help with this issue.

Overpriced for Quality

I've used this for a full 5 months now and am getting ready to retire this bassinet and switch to a full size crib, so I've gotten my full bassinet experience. I wanted to like this-- I love the style and color which is what lead me to purchase, but there are a lot of cons and not many pros. - Once assembled, there's a fair amount of shake to the bassinet, it's not as sturdy as I expected. My baby could make it jiggle at only a month or two old. - It's only a few pieces but was a little hard to assemble, and the pieces are SO snug that it's quite an effort to get them together. Maybe this would be better if it was disassembled/assembled a few times, but after having such a beast of a time initially I was hesitant to take it down. - The top "wood" rail is painted metal- after rubbing against the bassinet to get my baby in/out the wood grain finish has totally worn off where it's touched frequently, so the illusion of wood is sorely missing at this point. - I had a horrible spill incident where a full cup of milk dumped all over this thing and I discovered that not much of this can be disassembled to wash, which is awful for a mostly fabric bassinet. There are (I'm assuming) MDF (fiber board) pieces that make up the base that the mattress lays on, as well as the bottom basket area. The fabric that covers these areas is sewn in place and not removable that I can tell, and spot cleaning can only go so far if something is totally soaked. The fabric is also attached to the metal ring around the top and I don't believe can be removed. - I feel this is a little overpriced for the quality, if I had to do it over I'd spend a similar amount (or less even!) and get a full fledged mini crib that could be used longer. I really think you're paying for looks here. - I do have a few pros= it's a stylish bassinet (while the finish lasts), I like the breathable mesh, and I appreciate the height adjustment, especially after a c-section and not being able to bend very far.

Not sturdy

This bassinet is SO wobbly! I feel unsafe putting my baby in it with how unstable it is. It seems like it could just fall apart or collapse. I’m so disappointed because you pay a lot for this and expect it to be great quality. I definitely do not recommend this bassinet for the safety and for the price. Not worth it at all.
