I was really excited about this product, and do think it has its perks, but I am unfortunately allergic to something in it. I did a patch test on my arm to test for a reaction and did not have one, but after the first use on my scalp, I got a rash. Red splotches, burning, and itchy. I had seen reviews saying that you would experience a sensation because of the menthol but my scalp has been burning for days. On the plus side, I did notice a decrease in hair fall when showering, so I will give it a star for that. If they reformulate this I would love to try it again, but unfortunately I can't use this version.

My scalp gets dry and weird and this did not irritate at all. I’ve been using it a few times a week and I’ve noticed less hair falling out and a less itchy scalp. I love it.

While it didn’t irritate me, the fragrance felt unnecessary for a scalp product. This trio definitely helps reduce hair shedding. It works well with my fine, curly hair and seems to plump up the strands, creating noticeable and lasting volume. Over time, however, I did notice a film-like buildup on my hair, which is the main reason I won’t be repurchasing.

I have less shedding overall but it is of course hard to quantify. This serum goes on and absorbs much quicker and better that I was anticipating. It is hard to tell how much it is doing but shedding is down and my hair feels great. It keeps my hair smooth. I didn’t have any irritation from this serum.

My hair is super fine so Pantene has always been too heavy for my hair making it greasy same day as a wash and flattens it out so this product isn’t for me but I did notice some difference in the strength and new growth in my hair.

The first time I used it right after washing, I noticed a strong tingling sensation and dryness on my scalp. The formula does contain alcohol, which can feel intense on sensitive skin, especially right after cleansing. When I tried using it on the second day after washing, I noticed another effect — my roots became oily the next day. For my scalp, that timing didn’t work well. I eventually found the most comfortable way to use it: applying it on wash day, after the hair has dried slightly, and not between washes. This way my scalp reacts better, and I avoid excess oiliness. The effect itself makes sense for this type of product. After about a month of testing, I’ve noticed less hair on my brush, which tells me the serum is doing something right at the root level. It’s a product that requires finding your own routine, especially if your scalp is sensitive.
