[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Pantene Pro-V Miracles Abundant & Strong Scalp & Root Serum for several weeks, I can honestly say it's been a game changer. After experiencing significant hair thinning and breakage from breast cancer treatments along with perimenopause, I've been searching for something to help strengthen my hair. I was pleasantly surprised when I started seeing little flyaways and regrowth around my hairline. When applying the serum, I feel a mild burning, cooling, tingling sensation on my scalp. It fades quickly and hasn't caused me any irritation. It has a fruity scent that makes it nice to use daily.

Before anything, I have medium straightish hair (mostly straight but has a slight bend). The consistency isn't too thick nor too thin, it's just right and has an enjoyable scent. The applicator is a dropper so you can apply it directly to the areas you want to target. You'll feel a tingle only when it's applied after washing your hair (which I LOVE) I applied it daily as recommended for some time but it weigh my hair down. I had to wash it by the end of day 2 because it looked & felt heavy/dirty (normally I can go 4 days without washing my hair before it starts looking like that) - afterwards I stopped using daily and only applied it after washing my hair. I didn't notice much of a difference, my hair did grow but I feel like it would've grown that much without the product then again 1 month and a half isn't long enough to test the product and it's important to know that our hair goes through phases. Those phases include growing and losing hair. Overall, I give this 3 stars to keep it neutral. Again, 1.5 months isnt enough time to see much change (though they claim that that's pretty much what's needed to see results). I did enjoy this line overall, so I'll keep trying it out to see if I do see a difference.

At first, what I noticed right away is the texture - it's thick and creamy, spreads easily, and my hair feels soft almost instantly after rinsing. The scent is also really nice, fresh but not too overwhelming. After a few washes, my hair definitely felt smoother and easier to brush, and I did notice a bit less breakage when styling, which matches what a lot of users say about it helping with detangling and softness . That said, it's not perfect. On some days, I feel like it doesn't deeply moisturize my ends enough, especially if my hair is extra dry. Also, if I use too much, it can slightly weigh my hair down or reduce volume - something others have experienced too . It works best when I don't apply it too close to the roots. My take: It's a good, affordable conditioner that makes hair soft and manageable and helps a bit with breakage - but it's not a “deep repair” miracle. I'd say it's great for regular maintenance, just not for very damaged or super dry hair unless you pair it with something more nourishing.

In the past when I would brush and wash my hair I used to experience so much hair fallout and breakage, I mean my hairs would easily be pulled out by a simple ponytail! But no longer is the case thanks to this miracle serum! Not only has it strengthened the roots of my hair but I've also noted that my hair has now become much more fuller and shinier (all my friends are now asking for my special method). The three paired together(shampoo, conditioner, & serum) make a huge difference in the amount of hair loss. I have noticed a visible difference when in shower & when brushing hair. It has been a game changer for me. The fact that this trio is affordable, accessible, & simply easy to use! Does not make hair oily & easy to apply! Definitely a must have!

I feel like it has been making a difference with my hair growth as I've been noticing an influx of new baby hairs coming in around my temples. It's very lightweight and doesn't weigh down your hair or make it look greasy. I have 2c/3a hair and it's suitable for daily use.

I started using Monoxidil which worked in the past for me when I had shedding due to hypothyroidism. However, tgis time is didn't seem to work. My husband heard about Pantene Abundance & Strong on a podcast. I bought the set and began using the shampoo, conditioner, and serum. I continued using the Monoxidil 1x daily along with the Pantene Root Serum 1-2x daily. After 2-1/2 weeks, hair in my brush and hair loss when I shower is WAY DOWN and my ponytail is already noticeably thicker. I highly recommend this product.
