Because I have curly hair so I don't wash it as often as other hair types would, but it still needs moisturizing. This helps with moisture, shine, and frizz. I wash my hair maybe two to three times a week and blow dry it and yet still have hair shedding. So I cannot say it works 100% because I still have shedding. My only complaint is that the volume for the conditioner is less than volume of shampoo, so I'll run out of them unequally. That's a peeve of mine with hair systems. However, this conditioner felt light weight but very nourishing. Because it is supposed to work on the scalp to reduce shed, I did apply conditioner to roots up to scalp, and never felt oily or heavy.
