Features like the metal handle and magnetic stand go above and beyond what I would expect from a razor. If you are in the market for a nice-looking razor that provides a close and smooth shave, this one should be at the top of your list. Pros: - Nice-looking and durable metal handle - Magnetic stand keeps the razor ready to use - Flexes to adapt to your face - Exfoliating bar helps remove dirt/debris before the blades - Provides smooth and close shaves Cons: - Dry water spots on the stand and handle are unattractive ----- DETAILS ----- Design: The first thing I noticed when taking the GilletteLabs with Exfoliating Bar Razor out of its box was the metal handle. I like the look of it, and it is complemented by some rubber for grip. The metal handle also gives me a sense of durability. There is a stand for the razor included in the box which is a nice touch. I had never used a razor stand, and now I am a fan because it makes the razor accessible and helps keep it clean and dry. My only complaint is that dry water spots are regularly visible on the stand and sometimes the razor handle, detracting from the nice design. One of my review photos shows this. Features & Performance: The standout feature of this razor is its exfoliating bar which helps remove dirt and debris before the blades pass. I truly think it makes a difference because my shaves have been consistently close to my skin and very smooth. The feature that helps with that consistency is the adaptive “2D FlexDisc” design that contours to your face and ensures that the blades stay in contact with your skin. This product provides a comfortable shave for sensitive skin and tough beard. This razor is hands down the BEST!!! I have coarse hair on my face and this razor gave me the closest shave. Left my skin silky smooth. I highly highly recommend!!!!

I often have problems with razors missing spots on my face, but this one seems to get most everything on the first swipe. It's lasted for a few shaves too, so that's a plus. I don't like all the packaging though. Seems excessive.

Cartridge provided a great shave as well; although I'm not sure I noticed any tangible effect from the exfoliating bar. All in all, I recommend this for anyone looking for a razor that won't break the bank!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When i got the box i got really surprised by the weight of it. the handle and the razor it self is a little heavier than average, but the stand in nice an heavy. it is well designed and very stable, the handle also feels great in your hand.

Loving the auxiliary blade on the side of the razor head to shave “awkward” areas of your face, such as the curve of your mustache/goatee. If they made a sensitive version of this razor, I would probably switch. Any other razor would give me razor bumps, so I can’t use this blade on the regular. The stand is a nice touch and I would use it with my other Gillette razors.

Get a great shave and having a stand included is a great feature. I am not sure I notice much difference with the exfoliating bar, but maybe with longer use, I might notice a difference.

The case it comes it holds it nice if you need to take it on a trip and the stand to keep it from laying on the counter is awesome. I love the fact it lets any water drain off while standing to help prevent any rust. The blades are nice and sharp and offer a close shave without any skin irritation. Overall these are great razors.
