It feels premium and substantial. The stand provided is an added bonus. The shave was close and smooth, gliding effortlessly across my skin with no irritation, or pulling of hair. Hours after shaving, I did not notice any ingrown hairs or irritation bumps. It worked especially well in different places like the neck. I noticed I could go longer between shaves than usual. Even after three uses, the blade still felt sharp. I did find the circular head movement(as shown on the box) to be unnecessary, as I didn’t experience that movement at all while shaving. It’s hard to tell if the exfoliating bar actually exfoliates. Overall, I prefer this razor to my usual Harry’s, though the shave didn’t feel much different from other Gillette models and seems to have some unnecessary design functions.

It has the normal feature we have come to love from Gillette; multiple blades, flexible head to work with the contours of your face and sleek design. However, this is the first razor I have used with the exfoliating feature and I don’t plan to go back. The bar leaves your face felling smoother and cleaner than a normal shave. I am also a fan of the stand base. It is going to be a tough sell to keep this away from my wife.

When it comes to performance though I found it to be just okay. It got the job done, but the shave didn’t feel as smooth or effortless as what I’m used to with my Dollar Shave Club blades. I noticed I had to go over certain areas more than once to get the closeness I wanted. Maybe it’s due to the blades or the fact that I have thicker hair? Overall, it’s a decent option in a pinch or for travel but it wouldn’t be my go-to razor for everyday use.
