I've happily used Gillette products for decades starting with Blue Blades. Lately I have been quite happy iwht the newer item s. HOWEVER, when I bought refills they now longer fit on my handle. lTurns out the company introduced a new product with a lightly changed handle design, so their new bardes will not fit on the older handle. I can think o now reason for them to do this; unless they hope we'll buy the wrong blades and then have to go back and buy the rights ons--they make an extra sale.

I have used edge for 6 decades but now with the new designed can I just started using is too hard to use. I have to set the can down on the sink and push the button with my whole hand since I can no longer push with my finger. This also leads to getting too much shaving lotion because it is so hard to press. I would have thought Gillette would have tested the ease of use of the can by older people like me. I guess I will have to find a new shaving cream.

It has some kind of ball that rotates to get tricky spots. Let's not forget about the base which allows you to put it away with the blade sitting up instead of laying on something. I used to always use the bag of value razors that tend to be cheaper and go “further” or so I taught. I could feel the difference from the first shave using Gillette’s exfoliating bar razor, smoother, sharper, and not having to go back through the same spot more than once. Also, when it’s time to replace it, it’s more convenient to just switch the top part of the razor with a new head and less costly than the first time when you have to invest to buy the handle, which also comes with this razor stands that I have to admit makes a razor look cool and almost part of my bathroom decoration.

This razor being fully metal makes me feel like it going to last a lifetime too, I love that it has a fancy little stand too!
