Good working/hiking boot. Gave it a 4 due to being a little too warm in the inside. Great for cold weather not so for hot weather (I’m from South Texas). Seems to be sturdy, could have been made with a little more cushion inside and out. Overall I recommend this boot for the quality and value.

As a light hiking boot, it's pretty good. As far as being waterproof? Yeah, not even close. First time I wore them I walked through some grass at a nearby park the morning after the sprinklers had run. Grass wasn't that high and within a few steps I could feel my toes getting wet. I was walking the dog so I continued and within a few minutes my feet were soaked. I dried them out as best I could but as the soles are glued in they retained lots of the moisture and thereafter always had an odor to them. Stunned that Eddie Bauer would affix his name to something marketed so blatantly false. Bottom Line: If you just want a decent inexpensive light hiking boot, consider them. If you're actually looking for a waterproof hiking boot, move on.

Bought these hiking boots for my husband birthday. The price was great, the boys looks awesome. Hubby was happy and liked them at first. Two months in, where the sole attaches to the fabric has ripped. They were never even used for hiking, just walking around and doing yard work. I gave it a 2 star instead of 1 because Sam's club made it an easy return.
