I use Johnny jump ups for both of my boys when they were a little bitty and they loved it. I bought this for my son and my daughter-in-law‘s newborn granddaughter who just got big enough to use the Johnny jump up and she loves this thing! All babies love Johnny jump ups. This one has lights and music and stuff. It doesn't get any better than that.

I suppose my doorways are thinner the most people's! because the worry I had from how close my grandson got to the molding area was just too close! Every time he wanted to jump in it kind of picked him up off his feet to where he was going to swing just a little it would then take him way too close to the sides of the doo frame and there was no way to adjust it to where it would be smalle.r I just needed larger doorways. Had I had larger doorways he probably would have had a big old time! That I believe is the key and make sure that'll work for you because if you don't your little one is going to bump his head and that's going to be painful! Don't get me wrong though I have seen them work for people and babies have a wonderful time That's why I wanted to get my grandbaby one because I've seen them in action and I've seen them work for people so I know they will. Why my doorways seem to be thinner or not as wide as others I don't know.

It looks like a good product, although it was too small for the width of my doorways. I live in a historic home, but didn't think my door ways were not close to standard.

my daughter is 8 months old and in 90th percentile of height and weight and this thing was completely loose on her. there was no way to truly secure her inside so it was very easy for her to topple out of this. we decided to return it and look for a safer product. I would recommend you do the same.
