It gives a shine it also kind of detangler because when the hair is dry, you add some it'll easily flow through with a comb free brush. I usually only put like about two pumps that's about it. It washes off pretty well when you do a hair wash day after you used it for a while so if it gets too oily, you can just wash it and wash it and It'll come right out.

The ingredients are light enough for my 5 yr old daughter's hair who have very frizzy hair. It's best to use after washing and hair is still a little wet to lock in moisture so it absorbs great.
