A Whole Bag of sweet delicious ruby red grapefruit! A gift from the gods. My favorite way to enjoy them is halved and separating the sections with my special grapefruit knife. Yes they are so good that there is a special knife. Eating just one is a decipline. Sometimes i have to eat two - such a treat 😋. Of course pealing them into sections is great too. Thank you trees for bearing such wonderful & big treats.

Good size. I like to peel the entire thing ( I use a tupperware citrus peeler ) , separate the segments then enjoy. The rind was a bit hard to remove in some places and getting the peeler through the tough places was a chore as the peeler kept popping to the surface. All the segments were grapefruity~sweet. Will buy again.

Even before I ate the first grapefruit I had discovered that one of them had a soft, mushy side. Two more went bad over the next few days. Either these were exposed to freezing temps or, more likely, were mishandled in picking, packaging and shipping.

I consider myself something of a grapefruit aficionado. Usually the best grapefruits come from Texas. These were from Texas. But they were very thick skinned and difficult to peel and not very sweet. I suspect that they had been in storage for quite a while.

I’ve purchased before and enjoyed these grapefruit but this last batch at Sam’s was very soft, swishy and numerous bags had moldy grapefruit in them. Not a lot to choose from either. Found one bag that wasn’t too bad so I refrigerated them immediately and am hoping for the best.

Most of the time these grapefruits are sweet and perfect ( I buy a bag every week and a half) but lately they have had some dried out sections so they havent been as juicy or sweet. I love buying a bag leaving it in my vehicle and eating one a day at work. Its a very convenient lunch snack. Hopefully the dried out issue will not continue. The sections that arent dried out are still juicy and sweet.

I have totally sworn off ANY grapefruit except these and I miss them so much the few months Sam's does not carry them. I always look when I go in and I always buy a bag if they are in stock. I don't care what the other grocery stores say, "sweet," "really red," none of the other grapefruits compare in my opinion. If you have been adding a little sugar to your grapefruit, you are buying the wrong grapefruit! I LOVE these Texas reds so much I would almost be willing to fly there to get them.
