Comfortable plush carseat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I took the Maxi Cosi Pria carseat out of the box, I was very impressed with the plush, comfortable fabrics that it is made of. This seat just has really great features including premium push on lower anchor connectors that made this carseat easy to install. I really liked the harness and crotch buckle covers that make this so comfortable for my daughter. It is very easy to adjust the harness and headrest height and there are nice little pockets to hold the harness out of the way when buckling a child in. I also appreciate a carseat that has multiple modes of use. Being able to eventually use this forward facing and as a high back booster is another great feature. The reason I'm only giving this carseat 4 stars is it is a very large bulky carseat when used rear facing. It will not fit in compact cars without moving the passenger seat up. I was able to fit it in my larger SUV but not my hatchback. It also requires a more reclined install for children under 30lbs. I needed to use a rolled towel to achieve this angle in my car even with the built in recline settings on the carseat. I would only recommend this carseat if you are putting it in a larger vehicle as baby and I really do like how comfortable and safe it feels. Thank you to Stellar Product Testing for sending us the Maxi Cosi Pria carseat to test out.
Easy to install car seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little one isn’t the biggest fan of the car but since using the Maxi-Cosi seat she hasn’t had a bad car ride! The seat has all the infant inserts, which are easily removable, and the buckets feel very secure! Love it.
Comfortable Convenient and Well Built Car Seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Maxi-Cosi Pria All-in-One Convertible Car Seat has a premium, high-quality feel and reflects thoughtful design throughout. While it offers many great features, it wasn’t the best fit for my vehicle due to its larger footprint. The fabric is attractive and performs well with spills. After a water spill on the seat, it dried without leaving any visible marks. However, fabric pilling appeared after only the second use, with small bumps forming across the surface. Installation is where this car seat truly shines. Using the LATCH system, the belt tightened smoothly and made it incredibly easy to achieve a secure, tight fit. Having installed many car seats over the years, this was by far one of the easiest and most confidence-inspiring installations. In my vehicle, the larger footprint required moving the front seat forward and limited the view out of the side window, which may be something to consider depending on vehicle size. The seat is lightweight, making it a great option for travel. The removable, dishwasher-safe cup holders are a standout feature and a game changer for keeping the seat clean. They’re also easy to reach, allowing drinks and toys to be stored conveniently. Overall, the Maxi-Cosi Pria All-in-One Convertible Car Seat offers excellent installation, thoughtful features, and everyday convenience. While its size may not be ideal for all vehicles, it’s a well-designed option with many practical benefits. Disclosure: I received the Maxi-Cosi Pria All-in-One Convertible Car Seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review
Mom Approved Long Term Car Seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a great convertible car seat. It’s simple, straight forward, easy to install, and quite attractive. It has the appearance of a high end car seat, without such a high price tag. Having an all-in-one design that is easily convertible is such a relief. Parents nowadays are busier than ever, so not having to research new car seats every 1-2 years is major. To me, the Maxi Cosi Pria fits the bill! Since I received this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I wanted to test it out for both of my toddlers. I started with my rear facing (almost) 2-year-old. She was super cozy, and we LOVED all the cushy comfort details like the infant pillow insert and strap cover pads. The extra cushion around the buckle feels revolutionary and is a game changer for those little exposed legs. This should be standard in every car seat!! The harness release button is also extremely smooth and effortless. My son is a forward-facing, average sized 4 1/2- year-old. I have to tell you that the QuikFit feature which allows you to raise the harness and headrest without rethreading the harness itself was AMAZING. Leave some slack in the harness and voila, it raises and lowers with the squeeze of the handle and it’s soooo quick and easy. Removing the infant insert was also simple. I think we’ll have no issues when he’s ready for the regular seat belt as well. This car seat fits comfortably in my mid-sized SUV, and it’s in a captain’s chair, so the car seat is not too wide/bulky. My eldest has to go around this seat to exit the vehicle, and it’s been totally fine for her. The materials are soft, and high quality; they appear to be quite breathable for summer. The overall design is lush and my 4-year-old says it is super comfortable; I think it looks and feels safe, too. This is a fantastic option for a long term car seat!
You get what you pay for
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The first thing I noticed when opening the box was that the seat did not come with a user manual. I'm sure one is probably available online, but personally I hate having to go search online for everything and have my phone out fumbling with a screen that keeps timing out while trying to install a seat. Basic installing of a car seat isn't something you have to have a manual for, but figuring out all the little things for strap adjustment is definitely easier with a manual instead of trying to figure it out by playing around with it. The bottom buckle release was large and easy to unbuckle, yet my younger kids couldn't easily get it open on their own. The metal clips are slightly hooked at the ends and look like they'd hold well in an accident. The top chest clip is quite chunky but also looks like better quality than the usual thinner styles. The belt loosening part is easy to get the straps loosened quickly and the issues I've had with other car seats belts getting uneven seems to have been solved by their design, so that's a plus. The head height adjustment seemed rather stiff when adjusting it, but perhaps this will loosen with use. I also really liked that the rear facing anchor clips can clip to the seat itself when not in use. Definitely a nice little addition. The fabric is soft and plush and the cupholders remove for easy cleaning, which is nice. I do think the seat feels rather wide for my youngest (4 mo old, 17 lbs, see picture) but my other kids (8, 5, 3) had enough room width wise to be very comfortable. My children are all extremely tall and skinny for their age. I worry my oldest will outgrow this seat more quickly than his current carseat because the head adjustment is as high as it goes and seemed barely tall enough for his height (47" tall, see picture). Pictures included are of my 4 mo old, 3 yr old and 8 yr old. Some things I didn't like as much were the lack of recline positions. My current seats have about 7 different recline settings to get it just right for each vehicle, but this seat only has 3 recline positions. Installing the belt through the back of the seat for forward facing was more difficult because you have a very narrow cavity to thread your hand and the seatbelt through. My husband would definitely have an even harder time installing it and his hands aren't particularly large for a guy. There also isn't a way to wind up the excess belt length from the back anchor strap so it just hangs loose everywhere. A rubber band over it works, but then it's an extra thing I have to keep track of. This seat also is more difficult to adjust the strap height (for shoulder height). You have to remove the seat, unstrap the belts from the underside and rethread everything, which is a bit of an extra fuss. Overall this seat seemed to be average quality. It certainly felt like a 'you get what you pay for' deal as far as features are concerned. If you want a car seat with all the fancy features, this is not for you, but if very basic yet comfortable is your goal, then this seat could be a good fit. I will probably use it as a backup seat for my mom to have in her vehicle if she wants to take a kid somewhere, but I personally wouldn't buy it as my main seat. Definitely not the best option if you move seats from vehicle to vehicle a lot.
Comfortable and Versatile
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a mom of two, a three-year-old and a one-year-old, and I’ve been using the Maxi‑Cosi Pria All-in-One Convertible Car Seat for a few weeks now. I got it through the Stellar Product Panel and I have to say, it’s quickly become a favorite in our car. I love that it really grows with your kid. We use it rear-facing with my youngest, then forward-facing with my older one, and eventually it turns into a belt-positioning booster as they get bigger. My kids seem to think it’s pretty cozy — my toddler actually calls it “my car throne” and will sit in it without fuss, which is a huge win on long trips. The fabrics are soft and comfy, and I don’t feel like the padding is too bulky or stiff. Installation took a little time at first, but once I got the hang of it, it felt super secure. Adjusting the harness and headrest is easy enough, and I like that I don’t have to re-learn the system every time my kids switch modes. Bonus: I spilled a little juice on it the other day and it wiped right off, which makes life with two little ones a lot less stressful. What I really like most is how versatile it is. My kids actually enjoy sitting in it, it feels safe, and it’s clearly built to last for multiple stages without having to buy a new seat every year or two. Overall, if you want a car seat that’s comfortable, practical, and can grow with your kids, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.
Maxicosi does it again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Maxi-Cosi Pria All-in-One Convertible Car Seat as a part of Stellar Product testing panel and I love it because I wanted one car seat that could truly grow with my child, and overall, it delivers on that promise. The fact that it transitions from rear-facing to forward-facing and eventually to a booster makes it a practical longterm investment. One of the first things I noticed was how comfortable and plush the seat feels. The padding is soft, supportive, and clearly designed with a child’s comfort in mind. The fabric feels high quality, and I really appreciate that it’s machine washable, which is a must when dealing with everyday messes. Pros Grows with your child from infant to booster Plush, comfortable padding Machine washable fabric Easy harness and headrest adjustment CUPHOLDERS!!!! Cons Installation can be tricky Final Thoughts Overall, I think the Maxi-Cosi Pria All-in-One Convertible Car Seat is a great choice for parents looking for comfort, longevity, and convenience in one seat. While installation requires practice, the long-term usability and comfort make it a worthwhile option for families who want a single seat that lasts through multiple stages.
Gorgeous seat with tricky install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this seat as part of the Stellar product testing panel. This car seat is incredibly comfortable and beautifully designed. The fabric is by far my favorite part — it’s so soft, plush, and high-quality, and it feels like a luxury seat for my baby. I also love knowing that my little one can use this seat all the way up to 100 lbs, which makes it a great long-term investment. That said, the installation was very challenging. The seat is very large, and even in my third-row SUV, it pushed the front seat so far forward that it is almost impossible for an adult who is over 6 feet tall to sit comfortably. Getting the seat level was especially difficult — it felt nearly impossible to achieve the correct level and still have usable front-seat space. I ultimately had to use an item under the base to get it level, which is mentioned in the instructions, but it still made me nervous. My front seat is pushed pretty far forward so if going on long trips, the passenger has to sit in the backseat for more comfort. We also tried it in the middle but that made both front seats impossible to use. Overall, this is a stunning, extremely comfortable car seat with amazing fabric and longevity. However, the size and difficult installation are significant drawbacks, especially if space in your vehicle matters. If you have a very roomy vehicle and patience for installation, you’ll likely love it — but it’s not the easiest or most compact option out there.
Great car seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this car seat as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and overall I have been very happy with it. The all-in-one convertible design is convenient and makes it feel like a long-term investment as my child grows. The fabrics are very soft and cozy, and my child seems comfortable even on longer car rides. Installation was fairly straightforward, and I appreciated the clear instructions and adjustability to get a secure, proper fit. The seat feels sturdy and well made, which gives me confidence in its safety. I also like how easy it is to adjust the harness and headrest as needed. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is that the seat is a bit bulky and can take up more space in the car than expected. Other than that, it has been a great car seat and I would recommend it to parents looking for comfort, quality, and versatility.
Sleek and easy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to try through Stellar Product Testing Panel. This Maxi Cosi Pria Convertible seat has been a very easy transition from our carrier seat. My baby is currently 6 months old and about 20 pounds. We had grown out of our carrier, so were in the market for a convertible seat to last us the next several years. Straight out of the box, it took us about 30 minutes to read about and install the seat. The latch hooks make it super easy to hook the bottom securely. The first time we hooked it in and tightened, I felt as if it was too loose. We unhooked, readjusted the incline of the seat slightly (still keeping lined up with the dictators given on the side of the seat) and tried again. The 2nd time we got a much tighter fit. The fabric is plush, high quality and adds to the sleek overall look of the seat. I can already tell this seat will be with us for the long haul as it is well made and will be super easy to transition and grow into well into the future! Oh, and the icing on the cake? Cup holders that come out with a quick twist and pull to throw in the dishwasher!
