My son also thought it was too spicy, but he really liked the flavor of it. I would definitely try other varieties though .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sweet with Heat! InnovAsian General Tso’s Chicken is a filling quick fix to your meal prep. A little goes a long way. I like that I could cook the chicken supper from the sauce first to ensure ultimate crisp. And then heat up the sauce in a microwave safe container. This was ideal as I could add the sufficient amount of coding of sauce to the chicken. I was pleasantly surprised by the sweetness as well as the heat that this did bring. Would definitely consider this as a brand in our kitchen..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The General Tso's Chicken is delicious. It has a lightly battered tempura chicken breast. The sauce is an Asian BBQ sauce that is slightly spicy and sweet. Very good! The 40 oz box is a great value for the cost!

The chicken was tender, the sauce was flavorful with a perfect sweet and slightly spicy kick, and the texture had that classic crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside feel you expect from a good General Tso’s. The packaging is convenient and easy to store, and cooking was super simple — it only took about 10 minutes from freezer to plate. However, I did check the ingredients on the Yuka app and it scored 8/100 due to 13 additives (5 high risk, 3 limited risk, 5 risk-free), and it’s also high in sugar and sodium. Nutritionally, it’s something I’d recommend keeping as a party or treat food rather than an everyday meal. One box is about the size of a single restaurant entrée and contains 3 servings, with each serving at 370 calories and 63g of carbs. Overall, it’s a delicious and easy-to-make option when you want that takeout flavor at home — just enjoy it in moderation!
