ProSupps Ghirardelli Whey Protein in Rich Chocolate is definitely in my top 3! This collaboration is a match made in chocolate heaven, as the flavor is so rich, deep, and velvety, much more aligned with a dark chocolate profile than milk chocolate. However, it’s not bitter, but instead subtly sweet. It smells delicious, a lesser version of a Ghirardelli confectionery shop, and also very similar to chocolate milk powders I drank growing up. But, this is so much better than those, as it’s not chalky or artificial tasting. Nutritionally, one scoop (which is a lot), gives 24 grams of protein, 160 calories, 1 gram of sugar, and 4 grams fat. The ingredient list is relatively short for a protein powder, only 9 ingredients, so it is easy to tell what you’re putting in your body. The powder is super simple to use. The included scoop measures out one suggested serving, but you can adjust the powder volume to your liking. Add the powder to your desired volume of water or milk (6-8 oz is recommended per scoop), and stir vigorously for about 30-60 seconds. In less than a minute, you have a tasty, nutritious drink that feels indulgent. I tried it in both water and milk, and found them to both be very similar in taste, with the texture being just a bit smoother and creamier in milk. There are just a few areas for improvement. The powder is quite high in cholesterol, with 80 grams per scoop; I would like to see this number much closer to zero. The powder also does not mix the easiest, requiring quite a bit of effort to get it smooth. Plus, premixing your drink is not recommended; I left one in the fridge for about 8 hours, and when I went to drink it, there was a thick dark sludge on the bottom of my cup that did not want to come off. I’m excited to see what other flavors this collaboration brings!

Blends well and has a rich chocolate flavor that tastes like you are just drinking a chocolate milkshake. I love that it has 24 grams of protein per scoop. It keeps me full for hours. I have been blending it with 1 % milk (for extra protein), a scoop of my mushroom coffee, and ice. It's so good.

The flavor is excellent; it has a really rich chocolate flavor that actually tastes like Ghirardelli. It blended smoothly into my shake and had a nice, creamy texture with no clumps. Definitely one of the better tasting protein powders I’ve tried, and it doesn’t have the overly sweet or artificial aftertaste that some chocolate proteins do. The only downside was the packaging. Part of the inner seal wasn’t attached when I opened it, so there was some powder spilled inside the lid. It made me a little concerned about freshness, although the powder looked, smelled, and tasted completely fine. The quality control on the seal could be improved, but I would still repurchase in hopes this was just a one time problem.

It’s good on its own mixed with a milk of choice, and it’s even better mixed in with other ingredients for a shake or used to make a protein ice cream as it adds a rich flavor. The powder solubility is also good and blends into your choice of liquid pretty easily using a blender bottle! This is a great option to help reach your protein goals 💪

I drink protein daily and here's what I love about this one, the powder itself is so light and with just a couple shakes it dissolves instantly. The flavor is so perfect, like chocolate melting in my mouth, it's so smooth and the texture is just right so that I can take my vitamins with this and not feel like I'm choking them down with a thick protein shake. There's no weird or chalky aftertaste. I use a health ring system that analyzes my nutrition and this came up as excellent on every level including the ingredients and the macros. So with only 150 cal you'll be getting a whopping 24 g of protein, only 5 carbs and only 4 g of fat. This is honestly the best protein powder I've ever used. I wish I had learned about this brand sooner!
