I convinced myself that it just might not be for me but I wanted to give this Ghirardelli one a shot. I'm obsessed! It's so delicious and rich. I never use protein powder for shakes but love using it in baking recipes or in overnight oats. This powder is perfect for that! It blends well and gives a nice and smooth consistency. The macros are great too. My only small complaint is that the container is so tall it doesn't fit in my cabinets. But other than that detail this is my new favorite protein powder!

I have no idea how effective the protein in this powder is, but it is hands down the best tasting protein powder I've ever had. Yes, it is thicker and slightly grainy (which I can understand some people not liking), but I'm honestly shocked by how many people gave this 3 or less stars for the 'taste'. I'm convinced their taste buds are broken. There is absolutely none of that typical whey powder taste. Just mixed up alone with water, it is the best I've ever had. But blended with fruit to make a mini meal, you might end up eating 2 o 3 in an afternoon. I just blended a scoop up with some cottage cheese, milk, a banana, and ice for an afternoon treat. It just straight up tastes like a specialty dessert shake. I don't know if anyone has ever overdosed on protein powder, but I might give it a try. Keep em coming ProSupps!

I was worried because ive had many protein shakes in thr past come out chalky or with a weird flavor but this is amazing. Completely tastes like divine rich milk chocolate with the added benefit of being great to keep me full. I made a shake in the morning and had half a banana and by lunch I was still full and feeling great. It mixes together well with water or milk and both are delicious but I do think the milk keeps me a little fuller for a longer period. Packaging was nice with a thick jug and good lid that won't pop off and spill if taking it on a trip to keep your protein going. No strange aftertaste and no issues afterwards with my stomach at all. I will be buying this for my protein shakes from now on. Super delicious way to keep myself on track without going out and binging a bunch of chocolate bars. Keeps my sugar craving at bay while delivering results I have been wanting. Need to start looking into what other flavors they have since this one was delicious! If you are looking for a protein this is the one to buy.

ProSupps Ghirardelli Whey Protein in Rich Chocolate is definitely in my top 3! This collaboration is a match made in chocolate heaven, as the flavor is so rich, deep, and velvety, much more aligned with a dark chocolate profile than milk chocolate. However, it's not bitter, but instead subtly sweet. It smells delicious, a lesser version of a Ghirardelli confectionery shop, and also very similar to chocolate milk powders I drank growing up. But, this is so much better than those, as it's not chalky or artificial tasting. Nutritionally, one scoop (which is a lot), gives 24 grams of protein, 160 calories, 1 gram of sugar, and 4 grams fat. The ingredient list is relatively short for a protein powder, only 9 ingredients, so it is easy to tell what you're putting in your body. The powder is super simple to use. The included scoop measures out one suggested serving, but you can adjust the powder volume to your liking. Add the powder to your desired volume of water or milk (6-8 oz is recommended per scoop), and stir vigorously for about 30-60 seconds. In less than a minute, you have a tasty, nutritious drink that feels indulgent. I tried it in both water and milk, and found them to both be very similar in taste, with the texture being just a bit smoother and creamier in milk. There are just a few areas for improvement. The powder is quite high in cholesterol, with 80 grams per scoop; I would like to see this number much closer to zero. The powder also does not mix the easiest, requiring quite a bit of effort to get it smooth. Plus, premixing your drink is not recommended; I left one in the fridge for about 8 hours, and when I went to drink it, there was a thick dark sludge on the bottom of my cup that did not want to come off. I'm excited to see what other flavors this collaboration brings!
