The previous packaging/provider was much better. The tenderloins in the new packaging are primarily mutilated and small, making them hard to grill. The texture is mushy and slimy feeling, and they have a bad odor. You can't easily cut the packages apart without opening a second package. Please bring back the old packaging!

So don't let the reviews scare you. No idea what people are doing with their chicken or what their expectations are… so it is packaged differently. The styrofoam was probably removed due to the whole forever chemical issue. Thus the chicken is more moist and when you open it, it smells like chicken! Like real chicken. What we do is buy multiple packages, cut them into bites and freeze 8oz for a family dinner. Done it for years and this was no different. The tenders still cut up well and it was easy to remove the tendons. No excess inedibles. It cooked up the same , tasted the same. Same good flavor and delicate velvet texture. I was so relieved when things went just as normal since everyone seems upset by the packaging. I'm not sure if people aren't correctly using their chicken in time but there was no rot, no foul smell, just normal chicken we'd expect from Sam's Club.

The chicken is slimy and mushy. You can barley make out a single piece of chicken in all the packs. I usually buy all my meat monthly where I can get it in bigger quantities but I'm definitely passing on the chicken from now on. It's not worth the money and honestly you don't get much edible pieces.

I cut them up to make a quick curry chicken dish and they worked out perfectly for that. The meat stays tender and juicy even after simmering in the curry sauce. It's convenient to have quality pre portioned chicken ready to go straight from the fridge. If I don't plan on using them before the best use by date, I just cryovac them with my food sealer and stick them in the freezer so that they keep their freshness and I can use them later. They hold up nicely to bold spices and sauces making them versatile for more than just standard finger foods. It's definitely a staple worth keeping stocked for fast and easy meals.

Our family of three cooked one half of the pack and froze the other for later and we had leftovers, too. The chicken was fresh and delicious and went so well with the teriyaki marinade we cooked it in.

Individually packaged with like 2 pieces of chicken in each. Total waste of time and money.

Would not buy again.. worst chicken package ever: chicken very unappealing
