I love Member's Mark candles and always look forward to buying the new scents when they come out. I recently picked up two of the pear-scented candles at our local Sam's Club and had been burning one in our dining room. Our home has an open-concept layout, so the dining room is completely open and visible from the living room. When I went to blow out the candle, I noticed that the wicks had become abnormally long. One of the flames appeared to be making contact with the side of the glass. That's when I realized that a portion of the glass on that side of the candle had actually blown out. There was a large chunk of glass lying nearby, with smaller pieces scattered across the top of my credenza and tiny shards throughout the surrounding area. Without thinking, I picked up the large piece and promptly dropped it because it was incredibly hot to the touch. I'm beyond thankful that none of the decorations on top of the credenza were flammable and that the larger pieces of hot glass didn't land on our rug. This could have ended very differently. I've purchased and burned many Member's Mark candles over the years and have never experienced anything like this before. I would strongly recommend keeping the wicks trimmed to the appropriate length and watching to make sure the flames aren't leaning toward or making contact with the glass while these candles are burning.

This candle broke on my daughters room on her desk were she works on her computer it went on the floor in the carpet so we ad to use the vacuum suction to get up the small pieces in hopes that we got all the glass up also the placing of the wicks are so close to the edges of the candle this is why it occurred very dangerous situation at hand

Long lasting candle and smells great will buy more to gift for Christmas.

Normally I don't leave reviews like but I'm so sick and tired of finding items I want but they are never available in store I'm not paying nearly double to get this this shipped and I'm not paying for plus membership that has little value.

The candle had been melted and the cardboard topped sunk below the wax so there's no way to burn it without the cardboard catching fire. The scent is more of a clean light pear, rather than a fall spice. Nice scent.

The fireside candle is a great price value and size but the scent is off from the description. It's so overwhelming and smells like straight up pancakes and maple syrup. If you like that this is the candle for you.

The candles do smell great. Great value for the candle. The only issue is the wicks. They bend and go out. I ordered all three scents and each one had the same problem.

Pleasanty surprised!! These candles are HUGE!! I ordered the pear scent … quite fragrant. I look forward to seeing more fragrant options? And, they were nicely packed!!

The Mystic Pear is the perfect fragrance! I like it because it gives fall, but without all the spice scents. Burns evenly too.
