If you put money into name brand "leggings" that you want to stay buttery soft and last or even gym attire, you know that type of clothing normally has instructions for a "cold delicate wash" and if your actually being ACTIVE in that type of clothing, it NEEDS a deeper wash than what the material is designed for. I used this product only when washing my clothes and did not use any additives. This product has a strong scent by itself and it's a clean fresh Dewey smell.
