Some features on the packaging states that it protects fabric and has anti-odor technology. I first took unscrewed the lid and smelled the fragrance. It is not overpowering, but has a nice fresh, clean scent. I was looking forward to using this on my husband's laundry after coming home from work. He works outside in Florida, in construction, building homes. His clothes do not smell fresh at the end of his work day. After using Persil Activewear Clean and Care, I was surprised by how well the detergent was able to eliminate all odors on the fabric and left them smelling fresh and clean! I would highly recommend this product for anyone who works outside, goes to the gym, plays sports, or just generally sweats a lot. After washing with Persil Activewear Clean & Care the laundry came out smelling 100% better with all sweat stains and odors eliminated. Usually colored clothes are tricky because they usually fade and get discolored but with this detergent I didn't have this issue. My clothes was still bright and looked fresh after the wash.
