It attracts flying bugs with its blue light and traps them. Its a soft blue light and also served as a lil night light for the room. It is insecticide free and safe for humans and pets. It last till its full of around 14 days. They refill pads are easy to replace. I think this is a wonderful product for anyone with a small occasional fly problem.
