It looks like a simple night light, while luring and trapping insects without the use of chemicals. It's very simple to assemble, you just insert the blue sticky piece into the back, plug it in, and let it work. It attracted and successfully trapped several fruit flies. I didn't have any luck with it attracting regular flies, so that's something to be aware of.

The STEM Flying Insects light trap starter kit is just what I've been looking for. I did not want to spray my whole house just because of a few pests so this plug in is perfect. It is not noticeable and very discrete. I love that it is insecticide free and uses light to attract the bugs. It is also pet and people friendly which is just what I need. The plug in is very easy to use and takes seconds to install.

All I had to do was peel the protective cover off of the light, slide the trap in and plug it in and bam! Super easy!! It look great in my kitchen where we tend to get fruit flies. I love the concept of this vs spray for bugs because it's much safer for our dog, or trying to catch them in a homemade vinegar trap because that can be a pain. It's the middle of winter so not a ton of bugs out now but I can see they will be attracted by the light.

I used a similar product (light trap) before, and it seems like the same company is doing a rebranding to be associated with natural ingredients and to look more environmentally friendly. Anyway, it's just a simple device with a sticky surface and blue light that attracts flying insects. Good thing - it's working, and there are no chemicals used (I mean, I couldn't find any info on the packaging). Bad thing - refills of that sticky part are recommended every 2 weeks. I just keep forgetting about them and use this trap as a night light in the kitchen.

I think it does an ok job of capturing insects, but it mostly caught fruit flies in the 7+ hours that I've had it plugged in. It seems comparable to Raid Essentials' Light Trap. I, however, don't like that you're able to see the bugs that become trapped. Nonetheless, it's still a good product but just needs a bit of improvement in my opinion.

I get fruit flies in my house every so often and they are annoying.I plugged it into my kitchen outlet where they typically are and the next day I checked and it caught a whole lot! I wouldn't have expected fruit flies would be attracted to a light since they primarily land on food. After a week I didn't have anymore flies and always keep this on hand and ready to go incase I spot one again.

The packaging was nice and bright with great colors, also that you can see the product in the package window. The product light is soft and glowy. I also like that I don't have to touch were the bugs stick. I wish the sticky trap was a little bigger and that I didn't have to replace it as often, because my house eats a lot of fruit and have problems with nats. I would prefer not to see the dead bugs on the stripe. In all I would purchase this product again with a discount, the price is a little high for me.
