I'm always hesitant to use chemicals because most of problem is in the kitchen and we have kids and pets. So I'm always chasing flys around with the fly swatter. This Stem Light Trap is awesome because it doesn't use chemicals so it is safe for kids and pets and it does all the work itself. All you have to do is plug it in and insects are attracted to the blue light it gives off. Really cool product. I highly recommend!

But it is completely identical to another brand sold by the same company. Just branding is different on the product. I think it fits better under the STEM brand name since it's chemically insecticide free. The STEM Flying Insect Light Trap used light to attract insects and a sticky cartridge to catch these insects. The simplicity in the concept of the STEM Flying Insect Light Trap should work if you are looking for a natural solution. Flying insects are are attracted to light. The sticky adhesive traps the insect once touched. Overall, the STEM Flying Insect Light Trap works if you have issues with flying insects.

The STEM Flying Insect Light Trap is attractive and I do appreciate the fact that it is odorless. The place I need it the most is in my kitchen to trap fruit flies. However, I dislike having to give up an electrical outlet near my kitchen counter. It does do a good job catching small gnats and flies. I do t have many other insects in February. I find the cost of buying refills every 2-3 weeks quite cost prohibitive. I do t like this will be part of my battle against flying insects.

I was really excited to try Stem light trap and found it to be of great help to get rid of fruit flies and gnats. I like that it's pet friendly and I don't have to worry about my cats getting in to it. It's easy to use. The blue light is nice and works as a night light. I found this to work amazingly and will continue to have it in my kitchen knowing that it is insecticide free. This comes with one light device and one refill.

I have tried other similar products to this that catch flying insects by attracting with light, and I like that this one is not as bright and has a blue tint that doesn't bother me at night. The peel backing on the sticky trap was a bit difficult to remove, but other than that I have no complaints. One really great feature is that the plug in rotates to fit into plugs either horizontally or vertically. Within 10 minutes of plugging in the product it had already caught a fruit fly. I will definitely be buying the refills for this! Highly recommend!

I have an issue with fruit flies all year round so this is perfect to have plugged in near my fruit and produce bowl. The night is a nice extra and gives off a soft blue glow. The actual trap is a double sided insert with super strong adhesive. I never used fly paper but imagine it's the same type of material. Once the trap is full, you just toss and refill. There's an opening at the top of the trap to pull out so you're not touching the adhesive so replacement and clean up is a breeze.

Insert the refill into the device base. Plug the trap into a wall socket near common insect hangouts. The trap should be positioned upright. When blue light is on, it starts to work. Keep the trap plugged in 24/7. When full, unplug the trap and replace with a new refill. For Best Results: Place traps in areas with heavy flying insect activity and keep plugged in 24/7. Replace cartridge when its full of insects. Check refill often and dispose of it when the cartridge is full of insects. Replace refill every 14 days for best performance.
