I liked how it had the adhesive on both sides, however, the plug in was not as big as others of its type so they did need to compensate for that. I found that the light is also not as bright as other light traps which I'm sure impacts how well it attracts insects. Personally, I typically use the Zevo Flying Insect Trap, but STEM has a more affordable starter kit (refills go for about the same as other brands).

We often get fruit flies in the warmer months in our kitchen and have found no effective remedy for them. This is it. So simple to use - just leave it plugged in and the light attracts the insects, which then get stuck to the fly paper like insert that you pop in the back. You do need to purchase replacements first it but it's the best way to trap fruit flies and other insects that we have found so far.

It works really well to get rid of any fruit flies if you plug it into a socket somewhere around your kitchen. I've also found it to be effective in catching those little moths that fly in sometimes if you go outside or inside at night when the porch light is on. The light gives off a nice color that is not disturbing in low light settings. However, I do have mine plugged into a smart socket so that when we go to bed, I can turn it off because I can still see the light from my bedroom. If your bedroom does not have a direct view of the kitchen, though, this will not be a problem.

It works great to remove flys from the house with no inconveniences. I enjoy having this product with the changing seasons and I feel confident there will be less flys in the house this time around.
