The STEM flying insect light trap is a very effective way to keep gnats down in my kitchen. I had let some fruit get too ripe and had gnats but this light attracted and caught them. I will always keep one of these going in my kitchen now. The subtle blue light also makes a good nightlight too.

This is similar to other brands in that it's just a night light with a glue trap attached. Pros: it's more visibly appealing than just a glue trap. Cons: the glue trap part is just OK when new and, like others, mine collected more dust and dog hair than bugs and quickly became useless.

Just peel off the adhesive and plug it in. Flys are attracted to the light and stick to it on the back so you don't have to see them there when looking at the front of it. I like that it's an option that doesn't include toxic chemicals that my pets could get into.

I feel this is a good product for your occasional fruit flies and regular flies. If you have a bunch of them, it will not attract them like I thought it would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are similar to the sticky fruit fly traps with a refillable sticky pad but better because these are no mess, the sticky pads by themselves would always get all over the place and these have a nice handle for replacement. Additionally the bugs are attracted to the light so works even better!
