Product was easy to set up right out of the box. since it plugs in to an outlet there is no need to worry about batteries dying and it stopping working. It has a blue light to attract all the flying insects to itself. The sticky part keeps the dead bugs attached to it. The only thing some people might not like is how far it sticks out from the outlet

I feel alright using this in my kitchen (pictured) around food and my pets for this reason, which is really nice as summer and fruit fly season are approaching. The blue light is not too distracting (unless, presumably, you are a bug) or bright. My only con with this is the cost, it seems really expensive for a glorified sticky pad that you have to replace pretty regularly but I'm definitely open to continued use to see how well it keeps working.

The thing I like most about the Stem Flying Insect trap is that there are no chemicals at all. It's not just that it's safe around my pets, but there is also no nasty smell in my kitchen from using it. It's very cool - it uses light to attract gnats and other flying bugs onto an adhesive pad that traps them. I use it in my kitchen, but it would also be great in a bathroom or even a patio. The starter kit comes with one refill, but you can also get refills. It's just so nice to not worry about the poisons you normally use to get rid of these bugs. I've already used this product for months and I love how well it works!

I like that the blue light can also be used as a night light and that the plug has a rotating feature depending on the positioning of your outlet. The sticky insert is extremely sticky - be careful not to let it touch anything else. I haven't had any bugs fly into it yet, but with how sticky the product is, I would expect any bug attracted to it will surely stick.

The STEM blue light trap will be a second layer of defense that I'll be using in my home. Summer months bring crane flies and I'm hoping this trap will help. Although there are no flying insects right now, the blue light is ready to go.

You peel the sticky paper off and insert the refill. The refill is very sticky and is great at attracting insects. It gives off a blue light that helps you see when it has attracted the insects. It is small enough that you can use any plug. This is a wonderful product.

Now that it's warmer in the south we're in and out of the door more often. I placed this right by my back door and am thrilled with it. It's safe to be around and the blue light is so subtle, but attracts the bugs. I'm very pleased with this and hope to see a greater quality of life this summer.

I've had this plugged in for several hours, and there's nothing on the sticky trap yet. I'm a little skeptical at this point but still holding out hope.
