It's effective at catching bug but does not show the caught bugs due to its design. The trap itself is very sturdy and will last a long time. Overall it's a great addition to our home.

I feel like this is very similar to the raid fly trap and works great. I like that the trap is sticky on both sides so when the side that is by the light is full you can turn the sticky pad and have a whole other side to fill up. Since fruit flies are attracted to the light they tend to fill that side faster.

Occasionally this time of year we have some fruit flies as it starts to warm up and u was excited to see if this would help. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly this light trap started to work. Initially I put it at an outlet that was a bit lower down the wall., but We then moved it closer to the counter. The light blue light that is emitted is subtle and almost like a very dim nightlight in the evening. This trap definitely works and it's a great relief that I don't have to worry about the grandkids or the pets getting sick from it .

I purchased the STEM flying insects light trap because we have had so many teeny tiny fruit flies in the house this year coming in from outside. They drive me crazy. The STEM light trap was very easy to put together and is it attractive when plugged into the wall. It gives off a soft blue glow that you barely notice, except at night when the lights are off, I guess when it works the best. The refill that it comes with is sticky on both sides so it doubles the amount of area the trap has to catch the flying insects. I'm so happy there is finally something to get rid of those tiny flies!!
