A little underwhelming so far, but I’m expecting it to be more effective once summer hits and the fruit gnats and mosquitoes are out in full force. It was super easy to set up, runs quietly, and doesn’t take up much space. I’ll update my review if performance picks up in warmer months, but for now it feels like it hasn’t had a fair test yet.

Considering the fact that I have pets and a strong aversion to using chemicals and pesticides inside my home, I must say that this particular product has proven to be quite convenient to set up. However, due to my uncertainty regarding the longevity of the trap, I decided to purchase an additional one. My intention is to employ the trap in my garage outlet, which conveniently happens to be located next to a window adorned with blinds. I anticipate that this trap will successfully capture a significant number of flying insects that ultimately meet their demise on said blinds. Nevertheless, I must express my reservations regarding the trap's rather exorbitant cost, particularly when taking into account the fact that it necessitates the regular replacement of its filter every 14 days for optimal efficacy. Not to mention, the filters themselves are far from inexpensive. While this contraption may indeed be highly effective for its intended purpose, I cannot help but feel that for the majority of individuals, the ongoing operational expenses may prove to be financially burdensome.

I have an issue with fruit flies all year round so this is perfect to have plugged in near my fruit and produce bowl. The night is a nice extra and gives off a soft blue glow. The actual trap is a double sided insert with super strong adhesive. I never used fly paper but imagine it's the same type of material. Once the trap is full, you just toss and refill. There's an opening at the top of the trap to pull out so you're not touching the adhesive so replacement and clean up is a breeze.

I have used stem spray before but this is the first time that I am using a plug-in trap. I was super excited and it was well worth it. It's simple to use all the comes in the box is literally the plug and then a refill for it and they also sell separate refills for when it's time to change it out. It seems easy it lights up it's sticky for easy little bug so just get stuck to it. I am concerned with where I plug it in because since it is sticky I don't want my kids touching it but that's the only problem I have with it .

It also caught 2 mosquitoes. I love it because it's non toxic and doesn't release chemicals so it's safe for pets and toddlers.
