Just put the sticky refill pad in the unit and plug it in. Safe around kids and pets! I have this one in my kitchen and will probably get a second one for the garage. Love it!

I have fruit flies and the STEM flying insects trap device is perfect for the household. The instructions on the box are very clear and easy to set up within a few seconds. I like that the device makes a very faint noise and barely noticeable. The blue light is calming to look at. I hope I am able to get rid of all my fruit flies with this device in a few days.

It has a nice design, the blue light isn't too strong, and it's safe, depending on where the kids place it, in my opinion! The cartridges should be replaced every 30 days; I think it lasts a good amount of time.

The counter where we keep the bananas & the area where we serve our cats their canned cat food. I was impressed to see the fruit flies attracted to the blue light and being trapped by the sticky blue insert. Such an easy way to trap flying insects ! The way this light is designed you will not have to look at the flying insects trapped until you are changing to a new insert refill. The blue insert is sticky on both sides so you get dusk action. The opaque plastic shield allows this to be used as a night light. I enjoy this as a night light in my kitchen . This is a really creative product which does a great job at solving the annoying fruit flies hanging out in your home.

Simply pull plug out of box insert refill, which is double sided and plug into wall. It attracted bugs with a pretty blue light. I love it! I was disappointed that for the value that you only get one refill. Definitely going to be buying more refills. The best part is people and pet friendly, no insecticides. Highly recommend for those pesky insects that always seem to be flying around our kitchen.

I like the bright blue light and that it require no maintenance. I used it in my kitchen being that, that it is where I tent to see small flies/ insects flying. However, I observed that there was in fact an insect flying close to the light and it did not become attracted to the light therefore it did not trap it. Therefore, I am not entirely satisfied with the products performance in the few hours it has been plugged in.
