While it's not spring/summer/bug season where I live yet, I did plug in this device to give it a whirl, and I am happy to report that I have high hopes for it! It's supposed to attract and trap a variety of flying insects, which is a really nice feature that gives it mass appeal. In the Midwest, I need these in every outlet for mosquitoes lol. The blue light it emits is nice and soft - not overly bright or obnoxious. This STEM starter kit comes with the plug-in light trap and one refill. Worth every penny if it keeps the blood-suckers and other flying pests away!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I caught 3 gnats after the first 2 hours working during early afternoon. It caught more as days progressed. The light is bright enough to be used as a night light for halls (extra bonus) without being obnoxious or bothering. The blue tag is super sticky and on both sides, it works without kneeding any substance, or you chasing a bug, but only with light attracted bugs.

The subtle blue glow is actually decorative! I put the product close to my front door to capture insects trying to sneak in! It works quite well!

I was skeptical at first, but this really does do the trick of trapping various insects like fruit flies and gnats in the house. The blue light is soft and gentle on the eyes without being too bright and yet still works effectively day or night. The sticky surface is like a glue similar to a mouse trap, and the bugs just stick to it in no time! I often get bugs from leftover fruit or plants in my house, and this takes care of that problem. It also looks good in my house on the plug. The installation takes me seconds and I love that I don't have to worry about nasty chemicals or things that might be dangerous to pets. My only disappointment is that for the price of the unit, it would be nice if it came with one or two spare refills. It only has one, and then you must buy the refills separately, which makes it a little expensive in terms of value. Overall, however, I really like this product and would like to have several throughout my house. I definitely recommend it.

We live in the south so fruit flies, gnats, and mosquitoes are a daily struggle. I hate using chemical sprays and toxic candles to get rid of them because they are smelly and bad for us. I love that this light trap is hassle free and most importantly insecticide free so it is safe for my family. It is so simple to use and I don't have to think about it. Highly recommend!

This product works comparatively to its competitors: not the best, but helps with the problem. I primarily use this in the kitchen to attract the fruit flies and it works relatively well. Only stuck to a few so far, but the adhesive looks promising. The light is very ambient, though I wish there was a way to turn it off/on without having to unplug it (has to be plugged in 24/7 until filled according to the packaging). The adjustable cord is a great addition depending on the type of outlet you have.
