I occasionally have fruit flies and this is a chemical free solution that works. The blue light attracts fruit flies, gnats, moths, or mosquitoes and the two sided sticky refill catches them. It's simple, looks nice, is silent and blends in. The only downside is the initial unit cost and price of the refills.

I do really enjoy the fact that you can turn it at different angles not to take up the whole outlet. I'm just excited about the blue light, attracting the bugs without pesticides.

It worked well as a nightlight but really didn’t attract or get much of the fruit flies. I use these sticky fruit fly traps in my houseplants which seem to do the same thing so I don’t really see a difference with these other than it’s plus in and lighted. It only comes with one refill so you’ll have to buy more after using it.

I keep it in my kitchen next to my sink and it keeps annoying fruit flies and gnats away. I will be getting more refills for the summer to get the stray mosquitos that manage to sneak in the house.
