It has a double sided sticky pad that is spaced well behind the light which gives enough room for the bugs to get caught in front and behind. It is not too bright where it would keep you up at night either. It does not make any noise like a bug zapper would. It is pet and people safe. You do not have to worry about pesticides. I really like this product so far.

I think I didn't have enough flying insects to attract to the trap, but I do think it works. I like that the trap doubles as a nightlight. It emits a good amount of light. I also like that it is safe to use around my pet. I also like that the trap has 2 sides so bugs get stuck in both sides. The biggest downside is that it is a bit pricey. I would buy again and recommend to others who have flying bug problems and especially if they want something without chemical insecticides.

The design is slimmer than others I've seen, and you get 2X the surface area to catch bugs. It does swivel so it can be vertical or horizontal, but unfortunately only swivels to the right. We have a weird problem with little black flies around the front door of our house. I have been searching for something to help the issue besides the cans of insect spray that I keep beside the door. I plugged this neat little STEM light trap in nearby and waited. When I came back this evening, there were quite a few flies stuck to the adhesive. I was thrilled!!! No nasty chemical smell or sticky mess. And, a very cool blue light that is so pretty!!
