In this sense, I feel that I get more out of the product since it can trap in the front and back instead of just one side. The blue light also just bright enough to make it a semi night light!

This is a must have for your hot seasons, flies and insects manage to still get in my home. The blue light trap attracts all lot of little bugs, fruit flies especially. It's easy to assemble and easy to replace the little sticky pad that keeps them trapped. I think for the size you get a good use out of it. I recommend to place near your main door entrance or kitchen area since that seems to be the hot spots. I'd recommend this product! Remember to replace with a new cartridge when you see it full, It can only hold so much.

I am somewhat embarrassed by how well it works because it has been catching insects that I can't believe are in my home. The blue light is soft and not distracting at all. I was excited to try the STEM light trap as we are having an issue with beetles that have made their way indoors this winter. I love that there are no chemicals involved in this trap and that the unit acts like a soft nightlight. It is pleasing to the eye, blends in well with our decor and the light is not jarring. This is all super important- especially with kids at home. It was easy to "load" and plug into the wall. After one night it had one beetle trapped on the unit. I look forward to seeing if it can continue to attract and trap more beetles over the next few days. Something that I was surprised about is that you have to purchase refills for the device. That will be a cost and effort I was not anticipating.
