Just take it right out of the box and plug in. The product had a pleasant appearance and once plugged in, it gave a light blue glow. Work great as a night light as well. I do have to say that I like the subtle glow of the light and for me it also serves as a night light. I also like the fact that it doesn't give off any of the oders you sometimes get with Insect repellents.

I liked the ease of putting product together and the instructions were straightforward forward. I have used something similar to this one but didn't like that somehow no matter how hard I tried not to get one of my fingers caught in the sticky side it always happened but this one seems to be better designed and I managed not to touch the sticky side. I like the dim blue light and have high hopes that it will catch some fruit flies later tonight. I love that it's pet friendly and insecticide free.
