It's fruit fry season and I needed something to help in the kitchen that wasn't going to make my family sick. I bought the stem light trap to solve my knats problem, and it has worked really well. In just a couple of minutes of using it, I can see at least 6 knats glued to it. I like the subtle color of light, and it is also going to work as a night light too. It is a safe way to get rid of I sects without using harsh chemicals or string smells. I can confidently use it around my kids.

When you plug it in, it's gives a neon blue color which attracts the flying insects. The sticky pad has two sides to it making it better to trap the insects. I wouldn't put it on a low level outlet due to my baby and toddler being able to reach it. I don't hear any sounds coming from it. I love that it doesn't involve chemicals. I feel like there should be a sticky pad facing outward because the insects fly toward the light but sometimes won't go around to the sticky pad. Other than that, I'm glad this product is available.

I purchased it last night and left it overnight. When I came back this morning, there were a few bugs on it (a gnat, a moth, and a mosquito). I like the idea that I can just plug it in and let it do its thing. No sprays or any toxic materials needed to get rid of these flying pests. I plan on purchasing the refills and keeping this going.

It came with instructions that were very simple and easy to understand. I like that you just plug it into a light socket and let it work. It is quiet; no noise coming from it. The blue light will serve as a night light also. I'm probably going to want to get another one as bugs can get bad in the summer. I put this one right near a dog door that goes directly outside. The dog door is in the wall so the dog has 24/7 access to the outside. This also means easy for bugs to follow him in. I am pleased so far with the product and happy to try it out.
