I bought the Lennon 2-4 person unit a month ago and have made sauna sessions a daily routine. I have loved my experience with our sauna unit and would recommend. We had on part missing from our kit upon arrival and BYD was quick to ship the replacement part within a couple of days.

Sauna gets hot fast and performs great for the price. However, you have to work around some quirks with the heater controls. 1. Temperature sensor is not calibrated quite right, and the heater emergency shut off will turn off the heater early if you set it too high (keep is under 176F if it's humid). 2. Arranging the rocks so they touch the metal heater enclosure also usually makes the shut off trigger, so I keep limited rocks only in the center of the heater. 3. If the main power switch isn't reset regularly, sometimes the heater never turns off at the correct temperature, and once again the emergency shut off switch triggers. You have to completely turn off the main power and restart it, which sucks if you're in the middle of a session. 4. It does tend to collect water, so I would turn it on regularly if you have lots of rain or humid weather to avoid mold growth. 5. Wood warps when it gets wet and dries. Sometimes the door doesn't quite fit. For the price, it's outstanding, but don't expect a seemless experience.

When choosing between a barrel or a cube sauna, I opted for the cube because the two-tiered bench seating really appealed to me. It is a completely different level of heat on the higher bench! Also, having recently burned my arm on the heater in a small barrel sauna, I wanted to make sure that there was some distance from the heater if we chose to fit a few people in there. You really easily could fit up to 6 adults in there, but two people with each person having an entire bench to lay on is a peak spa experience. I assembled the sauna myself which took several days at a few hours at a time. I am a contractor, so I have tools that made the process straightforward. I personally found the assembly difficulty level low, but long. The product is shipped in several boxes which are not filled in any kind of chronological order. Each piece or bag of hardware has a numerical code on it. The instructions state to lay out all of the material in order to make it easier to assemble- but even doing so, much of the assembly time is spent trying to identify each part and making sure its the correct one. Again- not difficult if you are familiar with assembling things, but tedious. The heat output is insane! I typically set it to 160/170 and could not imagine going above that- though you certainly can. As others have stated, the wifi connectivity/ Tuya control app are not the best. The touchscreen control panel on the unit is also pretty bad. I almost completely avoid using the control panel and use the app to turn it on, but if you are not >10ft away from it, it usually has a connection error. To me, it's not a super big deal, but it can get irritating. This is the only reason for 4/5 stars. It has only been a few weeks and we are using it almost every day. It heats up very quickly, and I'm anxious to see how it performs in the winter months.

We ordered this sauna for our Airbnb property and it has been great so far! The setup took 12ish hours with two people. The instructions were helpful. I would recommend having a rope for putting it together. We didn't and it made it tricky to get everything aligned up top. The sauna heats up very quickly and we are happy with the purchase!

I've had this sauna up and running for about 3 weeks now and absolutely love it. I decided to build it myself and had it completed in a little over 10 hours. It would have definitely went quicker with 2 people but it really wasn't bad at all and the instructions on the app are easy to follow. The only negative I've found was the heater would trip the overheat switch if I turned it on to heat to 194 but since switching to heating up to 176 and then increasing heat from there it has helped eliminating it overheating on the initial warmup. I would highly recommend this product as well as Backyard Discovery

If you read the other reviews, then you will see and hear that this a great product. From purchasing, shipping, receiving, and instructions were great. Building it was great, you just have to make sure you read and look at the instructions. There are only 3 things that I say could be better. 1) The 120v light outlet should be incorporated into the control box. I feel this is an oversight here. 2) There should be a locking mechanism for the door and not just magnets to hold the door closed. This is fine in low wind locations or for people that do not have little kids. I think this is an oversight as well. 3) There needs to be a pan for water collection under the heater. When we first used it, I sat on the lower seat and found the hot water splashes on your feet. Yes it was hot!

Have had the unit about 2 weeks and use it every day. Its awesome! The delivery was a little wonky, but they were nice. Came extremely well pack and organized. No missing or broken pieces. Instructions were pretty good, I think we few things would be quicker to double up on a few steps. The digital version is slightly different than the printed I noticed. The seat bottom board is tricky to line up. As others noted, the flashing is next to none. While the rain stays out of the roof, it runs off the edge into the trim pieces which then runs inside the unit. Not bad, but not great either. I intend to fix it like the other poster mentioned with black flashing from HD. The quality is amazing for what you get. It heats up at 45 degrees to 180 in about 15m or less. I would say its not a 4 seater, more like 2 and 3 if you are friendly. Be cool to have an upper seat bench and lower to take advantage of the heat higher and cooler lower. The lights are great, although I wish it was built into the unit, even a separate button to turn on/off/dim. The little remote I know is gonna get lost or fail. The keypad takes a bit to get used., Its slow. Im on my second one and its better but not great. They sent a second one out immediately when I asked a question, swapped and it seems better. Im not sure if its related but the first keypad my wifi kept dropping and with the replacement it hasnt dropped once. So Im not sure? The app works great. Again.. one touch to power on.. wait for it to respond. Then timer.. wait. and go! Its a little learning curve, but fine. I had an electrical question that was awkward. It calls for 50amp circuit, but only requires 6awg wire. The book calls for 8awg. My electrician was battling me. We ended up with 8awg and it works fine. You need the neutral wire to power the touch panel. This was 14awg, I used 12awg. I mean, if you are going to put a neutral in there to step down the power to the touch screen, might as well power the LED lights as well right?! It cant be that much more to figure out that to simplify so you dont havent to run a separate 110v extension cord for the LED lights. But really, end of the day, its great with some minor tweaks. Get one and enjoy it!

This 4-6 person Lennon sauna is amazing! This is the second item I have purchased from Backyard Discovery, and both items have exceeded our expectations. It looks great from the outside and is super spacious and comfortable on the inside. This sauna has some nice features to point out: adjustable  lighting on the inside, heats very quickly-which you can warm at any time with the bluetooth feature. The quality of the wood is very durable and thick. I would give it a ten out of ten. Upon arrival it came with very clear easy to follow directions. We also decided to stain the cedar to match our house, which is a really nice option with the quality of the cedar. The customer service was impeccable. They are available to help with any questions you may have. I highly recommend this sauna!

I spent a lot of time shopping for a sauna when we were ready. Came across backyard discovery in my search and initially was skeptical, because there are a lot of companies that are "faceless" and once you buy the thing, you'll never get support again. I reached out and was pleasantly surprised to find people immediately available to help me, and also to find that this is a company that has been around a long time. Pulled the trigger on a REALLY well priced sauna. Showed up fast. I took my time building it, and everything went together super well. Especially happy with the included metal roof to protect the top from the elements. Heater is very nice, heats the sauna to 150 in like 15 mins right now. I oiled the entire thing on the exterior with paraffin oil, and did the benches too. We've been in it every night since I finished building it and we're very happy with the purchase, and with Backyard Discovery's service thus far.
