I'm writing this review 1 year after my queen mattress purchase (ordered 11-27-20). The matress is decent, a little harder than expected but I'm ok with it. The problem is that near the head of the bed, there is a giant indentation along the width of it from the initial packaging. It falls right where the bottom edge of the pillow is...bascially where you put your shoulders. I kept thinking it would "fill up/expand" after a few months but it never did. It's basically a giant sinkhole across the width of the bed. I know I'm within the 12 month window for returning or exchanging it, but I would need assistance to set up a new bed. My parents set it up for me initially but they moved across the country early this year (I use a walker to get around so physcially I just wouldn't be able to do it). It's rather frustrating bc it's such a huge purchase that is supposed to last me a very long time, but it's kinda been crappy from the start. It was packed so tightly rolled up in the box that it damaged the mattress permanently it seems. Very disappointing. For that reason, I can't recommend it. I don't think I would ever buy a mattress-in-a-box after this experience. Nectar should change their packaging so that it doesn't permanently damage the mattress.

The mattress arrived in a box and it was easy to unfold and let it grow. Didn’t have much of a smell that most other memory foam products do. The mattress is great for my back (back and side sleeper) and I feel well-rested when o wake up in the morning.

I will start by saying that the base was super easy to set up and it is sturdy. I love it. The fabric that covers the base is ok, it works. The bed sheets and mattress protector (by Resident, I think) are great, love the way the sheets feel. The pillows I received (also by resident) give me sever neck pain. They are of good quality but too stiff for my neck. First two weeks sleeping on the mattress I had sever nightmares. Followed by nights of tossing and turning. I still can’t seem to get comfortable. I started to regret my purchase and wished I had bought another Purple mattress. In time my body acclimated to the nectar mattress but I still don’t have that moment of “aahhhhh” when I lay down. It’s not like sleeping on a cloud (like the Purple mattress). Could be the pillows are throwing it all off. New pillows are on the way, I will see if it makes a difference. The nectar mattress is well made. No issues there. The price is right too. I think the nectar mattress has a lot going for it but I am still figuring out how to make it work for me personally. (A bit about me, female, age 45, about 140lbs, 5’4”, somewhat active.) I prefer to sleep on my back but on the nectar, it seems I can only get relatively comfortable on my sides. All and all, mixed feelings.

The mattress felt amazing for the first 2 weeks... then it never adjusted /broke in? Haven't really gotten a decent night of sleep without waking up for months. Sleeping next to a similar person in weight.. I still get pulled down towards them causing wicked side pain for me.

I had to sell my Nectar with my last major cross country move. The minute I found my new home I ordered my second Nectar Mattress. I’ve had back surgery and Nectar is the only mattress that does not cause me any discomfort after a good 8 hour sleep. Would not be without my Nectar!!

My friend has this bed in her guest room and I slept like a baby every night. I don’t have back issues but I do weight-lift a ton and am always able to sleep restfully and wake up refreshed. I highly recommend this bed. This was definitely a much needed upgrade from my last (very basic) mattress.

I am obsessed with this mattress. I blindly ordered it without ever hearing about/laying on a Nectar. I do not regret it ONE BIT. I look forward to going to sleep every night. It feels like such a treat. I’ve had it about 2 months and zero complaints so far. It is so soft and squishy but at the same time firm. I don’t feel like I sink into a hole overnight. So easy to take from the box and set up. Was ready for sleep in about an hour. So cool to watch. The Resident pillows that bundles with the mattress are also to die for. I truly couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

After waiting for more than a month, we finally got the mattress! It takes some getting used to. I'm a side sleeper so the adjustments I have to make are how much to move my shoulders to be comfortable. I've had several times my shoulders really hurt and woke me up. This mattress is very firm but I feel like I mostly sleep pretty well. I feel rested after waking up if my shoulders and back were in the right position but I think I have to give it more time for my body to really adjust to the change. I'm not disappointed! My lower back pain is still the same, but that's also something I'm willing to give time to get better. I think the frame and mattress combination are about the same as the other pillow top spring set we owned when it comes to the feeling of the other person moving. If I had just the mattress, I think the movements I'm feeling would be reduced. My kids definitely approve of the new setup. They both fall asleep so fast now (one is 6 years old and the other 7 months). The time it takes for them to be convinced to lie down has dramatically changed for the better! I think they are happy to go to sleep and they wake up feeling good. No bad moods in the mornings! I sure hope this mattress holds up for more than 10 years. I would recommend and purchase this again.

After our bad experience with Nectar Mattresses as a 1st time customer, we thought we'd never do business with them again (as stated in my first review), their Customer Care Specialist, Izzy T., reached out to us immediately after. After much hesitation, she got us comfortable enough to give Nectar another shot after finding our the initial problem. One week later, we FINALLY have our mattress and are sleeping very comfortably now in our new home, along with a Nectar weighted blanket. So, shout out to you, Ms. Izzy, for turning a distasteful experience around for us.

Somewhat firmer than anticipated. Nectar provided me with a topper in an attempt to reduce the firmness but the topper continues to create a ridge or raises up in the middle of the bed following a night's sleep. This appears to be due to the topper shifting or sliding as the mattress protector and bottom form fitting sheet are not sufficient to prevent the topper from moving.
