Hi Jim. Thank you for reaching out! Lysol Laundry Sanitizer is designed to kill 99.9 percent of viruses and bacteria, and remove odor from fabrics. It is used in conjunction with your laundry detergent. It is most effective during the rinse cycle while soaking for 16 minutes. Please add the sanitizer directly to the rinse cycle, or to the fabric softener compartment.
