The directions state to leave it in the toilet for at least 15 minutes. Most people don't read the directions so it doesn't really disinfect. If you leave it in there for this long it will completely remove the hard water stains and everything else. This has been the best product we have purchased.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve done the whole “let me try the cheaper version and see if it’s the same” experiment more times than I’d like to admit… and I always end up right back with Lysol. This stuff just works. It’s thicker, it actually clings where you put it (instead of disappearing into the bowl like some of the generics), and it gets the job done without turning cleaning into a full event. This pack is a solid deal too—four big bottles, and I’m pretty sure they’re larger than what you get individually elsewhere. I haven’t measured it, but it definitely feels like you’re getting more for your money. And it lasts. You’re not constantly replacing it, which makes a difference. At this point, I don’t even bother experimenting anymore. I’ve already done that part—and learned my lesson. If you’re thinking about trying something cheaper… just skip the extra step and come back to this.
