When I received the item, it was not as I expected. They are ceramic vs. melanine, and that's why I knocked off some stars. Here are the pros: 1) They are ceramic which makes them microwave and dishwasher safe, 2/ The design/colors are fun and bold and perfect for the spring/summer season. The cons: 1) Since they are ceramic, they are breakable and my fear is that even a slight knick on a hard surface, they might knock off some of the glazed finish, 2) They are also pretty thick and heavy.3) They are not very big plates, so they would work better for a salad or dessert. Overall, not really my cup of tea when it comes to design. Not sure if the bubble design is new and upcoming, but I'm not a fan.

These are really interesting pieces. The bright, shiny look makes them seem like they might be outdoor melamine plates, but they are heavy-duty thick stoneware. The small plates also have raised edging all the way around giving them different functionality.

Very cute set of plates . They are heavy and a nice size for a snack . They have a nice lifted edge on the plate to prevent spilling . The colors are brilliant and bright . Also wash well in the dishwasher.
