The standard Purple mattress is a good fit, not perfect, but good. The quality of the items purchased were top of the line. My wife and I love the Harmony pillows. We both are side sleepers. My wife and I agreed the mattress doesn't classify itself as FIRM, SOFT or whatever. However, I found it to be almost perfect, but my wife found it to be uncomfortable. The Purple material in this mattress needs to be 3" or more. We had considered upgrading to the Hybrid 4 inch purple, but we decided not to. My wife found it too expensive to upgrade and find the same mattress firmness. We just got rid of a Sealy Black Hybrid to get a split king. The comfort levels are noticeable, but we enjoy the ability to adjust each side independent of the other. If you have a choice, buy the hybrid and down grade, instead of buying the standard and wanting the hybrid (to get the thicker Purple material). If I had to do it all over, I would have bought the 4" hybrid and see my wife's opinion would have been different (not the cost, she will never spend so much for a mattress). She would only be able to compare the comfort between the expensive Sealy and Purple's best, not Purple's mediocre mattress. My recommendation to Purple manufacturers is produce a standard mattress with a choice of Purple size (2 inch to 5 inch). The Purple material is awesome and is everything the commercial says it is. However, when combined with the other materials in the mattress, it lacks something... our guess was thickness compared to the other materials in the mattress. I wouldn't crush an egg on my mattress, the Purple material alone... maybe. I have very little regret in this investment.

We bought the purple hybrid 3 hoping for support and comfort, and it just didn't deliver. The reviews were very mixed, but a friend owns the same mattress and loves it. My husband and I both have back issues from previous car accidents, and the reviews stated this mattress helps alleviate that pain. 3 months in to owning it, and my husband is back to waking up in pain and sleeping on the couch. We are returning it today. I am highly disappointed, especially with the cost being so high. Would not recommend if you have back issues.

My wife and I are 57 and 54 respectively. After having our other mattress for about 5 yrs, it was already causing pain! The original purple gave us a lot of relief. And my wife and I both love the pillows as well. (No neck aches!) Although they do take some getting used to at first. The Mattress and pillows are also very cool to sleep on, especially since we're both combination sleepers. Enjoyed the sheets as well. Overall the experience so far has been a good one. Don't see us returning it or getting a different mattress anytime soon. Would highly Recommend.

My husband and I are both active and in our thirties. We were sleeping on a memory foam mattress, and were suffering from pretty intense back pain that was slowly but continuously getting worse. We decided to try the Purple Mattress. I didn't think it would make that big of difference, but it did!! After one week my back pain is absolutely gone! I would highly recommend this for anyone! You can always return it if it doesn't work for you.

I hate the fact that it took me so long to find the best mattress I have ever owned. This mattress has saved us from horrible nights of sleep and waking up with achy backs and necks. We tried four (yes four) different mattresses this year and I have to admit the ads for purple are humorous and I was very skeptical of trying it based on I had never heard anything of the company. I watched countless youtube videos about Purple and said what the heck lets try it. After about a week of sleeping on the Purple mattress my girlfriend and I both realized we were sleeping much deeper and waking up completely pain free and in better much better moods and totally refreshed. I do not write reviews often but this Mattress deserves my time to let people know how good it is. I tell all my friends about Purple and will continue to. Thank you Purple you have changed our lives. PS. When will you be getting more queen size mattress protectors in? I really want one and have been waiting patiently so nothing happens to our prized possession. Sometimes we celebrate sleep with a little wine and really do not want a purple spot on the mattress. My husband tried convincing me to agree to getting a purple mattress for years. I was not sold and put it off. We took the plunge and he was right all along. It is the best bed I have ever slept in and I get much better rest along with less back and joint pain. Looking forward to buying the pillows soon!

My expectations were extremely high after doing my research on Purple before making my final decision to purchase. While I enjoy sleeping on this matress, it hasn't quite lived up to those expectations. Comfort and support is excellent, but one of the primary reasons we decided on Purple was because it is supposed to be great for hot sleepers, which we both consider ourselves. It is cool for the most part, but not much if any better than our prior traditional spring matress. But again, maybe my expectations were a little too high as I'm sure it sleeps much cooler than any memory foam mattress though I've never slept on one. All in all, we are happy with the purchase and will be keeping the matress.

We purchased a Purple mattress after a friend recommended that we try it. Normally, I was unable to sleep more than two hours on our old mattress. I sleep much longer now, as does my husband, and I no longer wake up sore and achy. I love the gentle firmness, and how it maintains its shape when you get up. The mattress definitely is well-designed!

The egg test is misleading, you are not an egg, you are a human. The transition from the purple layer to the memory foam layers underneath is harsh and I could feel my hips hitting the foam and never seemed t sink into it. But we donated the mattress and had our money back in less than two days.

I suffered from really bad headaches. After a couple weeks of sleeping on this mattress my shoulders and neck no longer hurt it has reduce my headaches to once a month. My husband had a lot of shoulder pain and he no longer has any pain. Every night my husband and I can't wait to sleep on this amazing mattress. This mattress seems to be a very healthy choice for your body with a great night sleep. I have told all my friends about this mattress, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve there sleep or any body pain. Seriously a life changing mattress.
